Just putting it out there, that he could pass at rollover. So others are less inclined to breed to him for futurity purposes. (I love my foals from him) But a younger candidate might be the best way to go. :)

And the stud needs to be alive and intact for his foals to qualify. It’s a pretty boy, though. I love the paw mark on his face!

Do the foals have to be unaltered also?

No. Foals can be intact or altered to be futurity eligible. They just need to match the era of the sire and be owned and bred by someone who does not own the sire.
