Pasture Question!
-
What happens when you have more than one stud in a pasture?? Like is it just a random flip of a coin which mare will be covered?
I have never done this before and was just curious! Thanksss!! -
I'm also curious how matchmaking is decided! It seems pretty evenly divided but I'm not sure if who gets who is random, or how it works. I'm interested to know. :o)
-
I believe the two studs split the mares but I don’t exactly know how the mares are decided for which stud, a couple of seasons ago I put two studs in my pasture with a few mares and was pretty bummed that one of the mares I was intending to breed with one of the studs bred with the other one. I’d be surprised if pastures have there own system :)AmberHaven300 (she/her)

It is random. They won't always be an exact 50/50 split as to how many mares are covered by each stallion.Ramshorn Ranch

Yes. So if I have a 100 pasture and three studs, I normally see something like 35, 35, and 30, but sometimes there is more variation. If you put in a stallion with only tenn breeding slots, it just ignores that stallion after he’s used up all his slots, leading to things like 10, ~45, ~45.
-
So, another question all. When you have mares in pasture for lengths of days, do they keep those days in pasture? Or do they lose those days? I am asking for like 15 days and 30 days in pastures.
-
If you take them out of pasture, and a new day starts when they are out of pasture, they loose their bonus. Otherwise the bonus grows until 30 days.
-
Okay thanks. So that answered my question that they don't keep their days in pasture. Thanks!

Disregard, posted in wrong thread..Ramshorn Ranch

Right but you can pull them out and show them and put them back, as long as you don’t do it between midnight and 4am game time. (I don’t know the exact pasture roll over time but it isn’t right at midnight.)
-
I think they mean a horse only occurs 30 days at a time. There is no 65 day pasture bonus.

Oh. That makes sense. Appreciate you keeping me on track.
