This morning I was lucky enough to draw several sea ponies to exchange for GMT tokens. I really don't have interest in these at the moment as I like to come by genes through buying and breeding and would prefer IV to expand my barns. Does an exchange mechanism exist for GMT? Thanks :)

If you don't redeem the GMT tokens, you can sell the sea ponies for the price of the GMT, 125k usually. Then use the HBs to buy IVs.

I tried it. Looks like sea ponies can't be sold :/

You can auction them with a minimum reserve and then post on the forums to advertise. Or you could list them on the forums and sell them to someone interested, using a chat room.

If chat rooms work it is a bug. I am pretty darn sure they do not. You are NOT supposed to be able to sell sea ponies. They are for you to get a chance to experience playing with GMTs with out the pressure of feeling like you should have invested that value into something else.

Thanks Ammit, I wasn't aware. Are we still allowed to gift them through the gift exchange?

Just tested and confirmed it does not work. It does allow you to list the horse but when you click on that horse to buy it shows the "This horse can not be sold" message in place of the purchase button.

I have definitely gifted them in the past, but not sure if any changes have been made for this year!

I'm not eligible for the June gift exchange. Is there any downside to keeping them and showing/breeding as sea ponies? They are kinda cute.

I believe they can be used as normal horses for showing/breeding whether you redeem the GMT token or not. Maybe the GMT tokens will come in handy down the road if you find you want to use them later on something special.
