I am so proud of my lines!
-
I have just finished making this guy the best he can be and I am so proud of how far my lines have come so far :x I am always very strict with my quality control (and always looking for ways to be even more so) and so it takes a long time to build up the generations. I am finally reaching the generations that become my high PT show pony breeders instead of continuing even generations. I can't wait to breed this guy come July :D Feel free to show the horses you are most excited for or proud of!

So pretty! Can I ask what your quality control looks like? I’m still figuring out how to be stricter so I don’t have so many stallions! :))Thanked by 1Ashbrookefarm

His pedigree looks very fancy with the consistent color across all of his recent ancestors. Very cool.Ramshorn Ranch

Thank you everyone! :x
@lingonberry121391 So I always start with A papered foundation studs which is definitely expensive but recently I have moved away from foundations to work on my lined horses more. All of my offspring from generations 2-7 MUST pass Strict Breeding Advice (Premium Upgrade feature). I always use pastures unless I have a few special mares I want multiple offspring from or want to save eggs from for the future. By 3rd gen everything that stays intact MUST be homozygous Mushroom as that is the main gene of my lines. Ideally everything is consistent but I have been a bit too lenient recently and have let inconsistency stay intact. Once I have culled based on SBA and genetics, I comparison test EVERYTHING that is still intact. Foals must be superior to their respective parent to stay as a breeder. If they test AGA, they get snipped. With the addition of Max Out Ability, I do tend to max out my favorite colts from the season and then snip all the others. I definitely find myself with a surplus of colts on all servers haha. I haven't quite figured out the best way to cull by AFPT yet but I am hoping to get a good system for that so that I can decrease my earlier generation numbers a bit more. Once I get the the higher gens (7+), I start breaking out the 5% boost tokens which, again, is very expensive, but in my opinion, worth it :x I don't allow myself to keep the "pretty ones" intact simply because they are pretty. I either max them out so they pass my criteria or they get the snip.Bluegrass Server: HayesStable - 221755

Such beautiful satin mushrooms all across that pedigree!
These third gen girls are exactly what I am looking for from my Sunflowers line:

I've always loved your lines Ash! (and the friendly mushroom/satin LB competition ;) ) Your gen 8 quality is what I'm getting at 11 so even more impressive! I only just started using max outs and boosts so hopefully I can get down to your level in earlier gens. Thanks for sharing :xThanked by 1Ashbrookefarm

Lovely. I have one of bluemesa’s eight gens and I’m so impressed with all these deep perigee horses.
LadyHawk, would you mind sharing one of yours?Thanked by 1Ashbrookefarm -
@SummerMonarch This is my highest PT and oldest gen to date, her lines were all SBA passing with absolute no boosts or maxes until her sire which was my first time trying that out. I had stopped getting superior around 7 or 8 though so I'd like to try maxing and boosting at that point, just waiting for some of my DFP2 horses to get there! :)
