Brindle full brothers...

So two seasons ago this lovely boy was born...
San Miraculo br
then I tried his mum with another stud and ended up with a (smart!) non brindle.
This season, I used the same sire for her and...

What are the odds? He didn't pass BA this time but I still love him. Can't wait until next season to pair these two up again!

I love the look of the first brother. The brown, black and white together looks super unique.Ramshorn Ranch

TL;DR-Very rare.
Based on my experience breeding specifically for chimerism, there is a ~1-2% chance to get a chimera foal from two chimera parents. I'm guessing it is under 1% if both parents aren't chimeras.
Last season I bred 291 chimera mares to chimera studs and got 5 chimera foals. This season I bred 289 chimera mares to chimera studs and got 3 chimera foals. I usually average just under 300 chimera mares and get between 3-7 chimera foals each season.“But I don’t want to go among mad people,” Alice remarked.
“Oh, you can’t help that,” said the Cat: “we’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad.”
“How do you know I’m mad?” said Alice.
“You must be,” said the Cat, “or you wouldn’t have come here.” -Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Chapter 6Thanked by 1sanseveri2 -
Huh. Then I guess some seasons I've been pretty lucky. I think I've had a few one season and I don't even have a full pasture of 60 mares that I breed to brindle stallions.Thanked by 1sanseveri2

@vorpalalice if you breed for brindle and you'd be interested in the older brother, let me know. He doesn't really carry the genes I breed for, as lovely as he is, so it would be nice for him to go to someone where he will be used.
