Comparison testing/leaderboard questions
-
Thought I’d kill two birds with one stone.
Question one: Does comparison testing take consistency into account?
Question two: On the leaderboards, what constitutes a top producing horse? Is it quantity or quality of offspring?

Question one - no, it compares the breeding component against the sire/dam.
Question two - I've never been able to figure out what it is that gets a horse on the top producing part of the leaderboard. :)HAJ1 White Valley #60847 HAJ3 minimum #175

I think with the leader boards for top producing although I'm not sure that its quality of foals but a mare has to have a least 3 foals to qualify and I think a stallion has to have 10 foals and also they need to have produced a foal that year
-
I'm not sure they need to have produced a foal that year because I definitely have a stallion on Forest that I have not used this month, but he is still on the leaderboard.ID #242
I'm HTRanch on the Forest server :) -
I know average foal pt has something to do with leaderboards. The higher the average foal pt the higher on the breeding leaderboards.
-
Stallions have to have a minimum of 25 foals, and only the top 25 count. It uses the best from all available foals.
Mares have to have 10 foals and only the best 10 foals are used.
Gonna be putting this in the FAQ in the next couple of days!

Stallions it's 10, and mares it's 3, but yes I think it looks at the best 10 or 3 foals for the LB. It was also changed to not having to have a foal each year, possibly last 3 years? I'm not sure if it just looks at the foals, or also the actual breeding quality of the sire/dam? But I know it needs those foals to qualify
-
For Stallions, 10 foals gets the stallion ON the list, and after that the top 25 foals count towards the ranking. So the more foals, the better his chances of moving to a higher ranking.
For Mares, 3 foals gets her ON the leaderboard, and the top 10 foals count towards her ranking
A horse needs to have a living foal, or a two year old, to qualify.

I also put it on the Basic Information for New Players thread on all 3 forums, and on the FAQ
