Wow, 75k, that's the highest I've seen! I'm hoping that this mare gets a little attention, but if not I'll just keep her. Maybe look for a satin stud for her :D

I didn’t expect her to sell at 75k but I figured I’d start high and go down with time. I do not know the value of horses because it is so specific. In this horse’s case it had satin and almost nothing else, which may have made it perfect for whatever they were building. Also, there are no foundations for sale with satin - at all - right now. Satin is a rare herd helper and a great gene (and expensive to GMT).

It is important to play the way you want to have the most fun you can. With that said, if I was you, I’d put her up for public sale for 50,000hbs (or 75000) and see what happens. I’m a huge fan of the public sale list. Search, find, buy.

Also worth mentioning that herd helpers like these don’t come around very often. For example, I collect pomegranate and have bought all I can find. The problem is I can’t find them. So when that herd helper comes up again, I will be begging everyone to let me buy their pomegranate, and will be willing to pay top dollar. That may be true for shimmer glimmer (which appears to be an exceptionally perfect create plus satin) and other creates this month. Many - most - of them are rare.

(The upcoming herd helpers that I have seen in the daily forums are Autumn’s Arrival, Starry Eyed Surprise, and the Blackest Night. While these are great herd helpers, there may be less demand to buy compared to those which show up less frequently.)

There is no wrong way to buy and sell horses, though. Whatever is fun for you is what you should do. Some people like personal connections. Some like the public sale list. All routes are valid and good.
