The Wild Herd of the Mountains (HAJ Book 1)

------------------------------------------------
Prologue: The Silver Mare..
------------------------------------------------
As hooves gallop late at night, the sky was black and covered in white dots, a mare was running, she had a silver shine to her coat..
As the mare galloped to a watering hole, she dipped her steep, angled, and beautiful swan neck..
As the mare stopped drinking to look around her, she turned her head to the left because she thought she heard something, as she turned to the direction the mare saw a stallion like her. He was big and bulky, he had a silver sterlin shine to his coat. The mare was curious about him.
When the mare turned walked to the left, the silver stallion turned to look at her, he was curious about her. But he kept his distance as he could tell she belonged to another herd.
------------------------------------------------
When the stallion disappeared from view as he took off to be seen running back into the forest, the mare walked out of the forest she walked in, when the mare came back out. She had a tobiano with roan, her tail was black and white a Yin and Yang color, her mane was the same but not as blending as the tail. The mare's eyes were brown and blue.
As the mare came out, she held her head high and sniffed the air for fresh food, when the mare caught the smell of wild potatoes growing, she rushed over to the potatoes.
------------------------------------------------
As the mare ate her last potatoe and saved the rest, she picked up her few last potatoes for tomorrow, as the mare trotted over to a tree that was dipping into the curling.
The tree was a sleeping willow as it's branches curled to protect the selected horse from hiding it, as the mare set down the potatoes from view and hid them by placing grass on them..
As the mare turned in three circles then laid down, the mare was curled and laid her down to rest..
------------------------------------------------
The night was fortunate to have potatoes growing, the mare soon would have to go back to her herd or her herd would have to come to her, either way..
The night was bountiful and the mare was full from her potatoes.. So she slept peacefully..#54808 - Forest Server

Chapter One: The Wild Herd..
------------------------------------------------
As the sun rose over the glacial, misty, mountains.
Over the river that bends like a snake, under the swaying rivers that dance as fish began to jump out.
Over the meadows that mean no harm and collect lost little fawns for their mothers to find.
Over the majestic rocks of stone carved to look like a toothpick.
Under the branches of pine trees that sway in the wind as the beautiful wilderness tends to shade in.
And over a beautiful herd that roams freely and shows no bounds to the humans. Their coats of many fine adventures as they run to collect more wind and sail freely into the unknown abyss..
------------------------------------------------
A mare of tobiano color but of a different line was walking about in the herd, the lead stallion curious of her new movements and changes, the mare trotted over to the watering hole or pond and began to drink lot's of water.. The stallion was worried for the mare.
As the stallion began to creep up to the mare, she turned around and saw the stallion sniffing her, the mare was a bit uncomfortable by this and tried to bite him. But he dodged the biting.
As the mare stuck her head up high instead of it hanging low, the stallion was still curious about her even more now and wanted to know why the silver mare even acted like this!
But as the mare slipped into the herd, the stallion began searching for her in the herd, the mares stuck up their heads to be curious why the stallion was in the herd.
Then the silver mare was found to be talking to her friend, a bay sabino mare with surprisingly; green eyes, the bay mare joined into the herd as the stallion looked at each mare separately.
The silver mare followed her friend and began to wonder why the stallion was following her, then the stallion spotted the mare and neighed to her. The mare neighed back to him.
------------------------------------------------
As the herd began to move, the silver mare ran from being behind to being up front and running to her content.
The stallion only trotted as the members of the herd began to pick up pace as the lead stallion began to go faster and faster..
------------------------------------------------
Not until later which the warm sun was high up in the middle of the sky, the silver mare was cooling off in a small pond perfect for bathing and drinking in.
Then the herd met up with the silver mare as she climbed out of the pond and let the other mares do the same thing.
Then out of the blue, the lead stallion was taking a mare off into the forest with him, the silver mare ignored it and left to collect mushrooms as the mares followed her.
------------------------------------------------
After awhile later, the silver mare was trotting along a path that someone has made, the lead stallion came back and the mare as well.
The silver mare went back to the herd as the mares were happy to see the stallion, the stallion then looked at the mare he took and nuzzled her neck happily, the silver mare saw what was happening and cantered away from the herd for awhile.
When the stallion went over to drink from the pond, the mare that went with the stallion still followed him as she was wanting safety from him. The stallion wanted to be alone until the mare foaled a foal.
Anyways, when the mares began to realize that the silver mare wasn't in the herd, they had began to worry for her. Since the silver mare never left the herd before.
------------------------------------------------
When it hit night, the herd curled up one by one, the stallion making sure that no mares were going to run off like the silver mare, the mares sticked together like glue. Until morning that is..#54808 - Forest Server
