Should I buy?

I just made this to group together people who are wondering the same. I personally don't pay much attention to all the stats, but hopefully you can find someone to give advice on what you care about.

I've been looking at this horse. I don't know much about all of her information, but I'm just wondering if she is worth the price to put through breeding advice?

She's create price, so you won't lose out any compared to creating a horse. If you want dark chestnuts, then she's probably a perfect starter mare for the herd.Thanked by 1ConfluenceRanch

Hello and that is a great question!
This horse is owned by Foundation Rescue. Its mission is to collect foundations who have perfect stats (both as a breeder and as a show horse) and provide beginner and experienced players alike with horses that will do well as breeding and showing horses. There is almost always a horse for everyone who is looking for certain colors!
With that said, any horse, again, that is owned by Foundation Rescue is a perfect base. That means the horses will always pass breeding advice so yes, worth the price to put through BA.TheBlueMoors ID 78

I snagged this horse for around 600, and immediately resold for 2400. Then I noticed that the lifetime payout is around 22,000 hbs. Should I have kept her? Her other numbers didn't look that great...
Just trying to learn!:)

@CandyC What numbers were you going off of? Performance testing is a good start to see how far she would train for showing. She hasn't leveled off yet (note trained for week). But if she does next month, the odds of her gaining more points (if shown consistently) and making more money is slim. Based off her being spayed already, there was a possibility of it being low (not always the case though, may have been done by previous player) I have lots that spay and still have a 9.0+ performance score (PT).
If you have the room, I would have kept to help boost your daily bank. If you don't have the room, selling for half the lifetime would help get you closer to buying more barns. -
@TripleGFarm thanks for responding! I'm very new to this game, so still figuring it out. I saw that her lifetime number was over 22,000, after I sold her for 2,400. Her other numbers weren't impressive to me, and I had bought her just because she was cheap, to resell. What exactly is the lifetime number? Does spay/neuter as a foal negatively affect their training and showing potential?
-
@CandyC No worries! Welcome to the game. It's a learning curve, I still learn something new here and there. :) Anyone else can happily chime in as well, this is just how I understand everything. Is it 100% right, no. :)) My explanations can get messy.
If I see some cheap horses, I try to spin them around real quick for a lil' extra change. Nothing wrong with that. You could have asked a bit more.$8-10k.
So her lifetime payout is $22,000. That horse gives 54hbs a day. After you bought her for $600, you technically were $21,400 ahead. You don't have that in hand but if you kept her until 17, she would have accumulated that amount (unshown). You could sell at age 10 for a profit if you wished as well.
Under the control panel tab, you can test for performance (as well as genetic & breeding advice) Performance will tell you how long they will train for (as long as you are training them every week) Highly suggest the basic upgrade for the auto training alone. ;) I like to keep those that have PTs 9+. Spayed foals will benefit in training and showing. They will be your backbone for income. When I usually create new horses it's a 2yr old (if within first week of month) or Yearlings after that period, so they can receive as much training as possible. Look for herd helpers on the forum that are exceptionally perfect. They are guaranteed to have a PT of 10.4.
It does take a while to build up your barn. Don't let that frustrate you. I'm highly addicted as are a few others. It is a little slower on this server verses Forest. Not as many players with money burning a hole in their pockets. Haha -
Help me out, as this post challenges one of my assumptions. I thought yearlings/foals couldn’t train?
(I can’t find where it says that so maybe I’m way off base here. Thanks for the clarity and helping me learn.) -
I think the same, though I also don't remember where it says that
-
Yearlings do not train. I buy yearlings if I have already missed out on 1 or 2 weeks of the month. So that when they do turn 2, they get the full training boosts they could possibly get. If you notice, if you create a 2yr, a 3yr and 4yr they all start at the same Level and Grade. 4 yr old will not train as much as a 2yr old will. (To my knowledge) but factors such as PT go into that as well
