I don't understand showing leaderboard awards.

    Hi everyone.

    I am really confused about the breeders club leaderboard awards.

    I have a mare Wensum Lauren Perrier RSK who is placed 9th on the Era 3 Points Earned by Foundation Horses table on this page

    But on this page my horse isn't listed.

    I'm confused as to why these lists are different? My mare is definitely registered in the club. Is there something I'm missing here?

    Ah, I've worked this out as my mare is now showing as 2nd place on the Breeder Clubs board as she has placed in another show since she was listed as 9th, but the Awards were given on the 28th.

    Does this mean that points won between 29th-31st of any given month are counted towards the next years leaderboards or are these points discounted from the following years calculations?

    I'd like to know if it worth bothering to show my horses between the 29th and 31st if I'm aiming them for awards.

    Awards go out on the 28th to account for February and for giving time to address any issues that might happen on other months. LB status can shift after awards go out but only the status when the awards go out on the 28th counts.

    Any showing has the possibility of earning points, and points are what determine your nightly showing bonus, so I would suggest that you continue to show your horses whenever you can.

    Any points from the time Leaderboard Awards are assigned through the monthly rollover are not counted towards leaderboard totals. Points are only counted towards leaderboards the 1st through the 27th of each month. On the other hand, if breeding season ends before all your horses are shown for the week and the 1st is after the nearest Sunday, definitely get those extra points.
