Got my BWFA Journeyman certification last month and going out for my AFA next month!
-
I passed my BWFA Journeyman certification last month with flying colors and Im going for my AFA journeyman certification next month. The AFA test is a lot harder because there is more blacksmithing involved and my mentor tells me it’s rare to pass it on the first try under the judge I’ll be taking the test with. I might not be on here as much because I really have to buckle down on my forging practice. Wish me luck!

Congrats! That's fantastic!“But I don’t want to go among mad people,” Alice remarked.
“Oh, you can’t help that,” said the Cat: “we’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad.”
“How do you know I’m mad?” said Alice.
“You must be,” said the Cat, “or you wouldn’t have come here.” -Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Chapter 6 -
Your pastures will wait for you and we’ll be here. Congratulations on your success and good luck proving your mentor wrong— you got this!

I thought the F might stand for Farrier. I have liked horses ever since I was little. My grandmother used to tell me that her father was a blacksmith so I thought that that was why I liked horses. I was very disappointed to learn, when I was older, that although he was a blacksmith, he wasn't a farrier. :(
Being a farrier is very skilled work, congratulations on getting this far and I hope you continue your journey to a wonderful career. 'No hoof, no horse' is a very old saying, and so true. :)HAJ1 White Valley #60847 HAJ3 minimum #175
