Hi! Im Angela and just joined last night so I am brand new to the game. I have always loved horses (got that from my Mama) and this game seems so interesting. So, for now, I am just checking everything out and bought a few horses to begin with here.

I have lots to learn!

How long have you liked horses?
Since I was little. I even had horse riding lessons for a little.

Why did you join HAJ?
I've joined other horse/pet sims in the past, but eventually get tired of the struggle. This site seems to be a bit more laid back day to day, and no need to memorize intricate training routines for my pixel ponies.

What kind of pets do you own?
Cats! Geralt, a gray nervous nelly and Yennifer, a black sassy butterball.

What is something you are confused about with the game?
Paper levels. The section in the FAQ doesn't redirect properly I think? I'm going to hunt around and see if I'm missing something on the forums.

Anyway, I'm not entirely sure what they do - are they indicators of the horse's show quality or a foresight into the show quality of its foals? Does it matter if a papered horse is spayed/gelded? And how do I get my horses papered?

Tea or Coffee?
Coffee, but I'm also a fan of mint tea. Which is good, as my mint has gone to seed and planted itself in my garden.

Hi, Unicamel! Welcome to the game.

Papers only designate a horses breeding ability. Breeding and showing abilities are completely separate on Hunt & Jump. A horse with higher level papers will produce better foals, in that the foals will also be good breeders. To make it more confusing though, better foals can also mean better (aka higher) PT scores!

Hi I just joined the game from an ad on Facebook. I've loved genetics and horses so this game is perfect and a lot of fun. I have 2 kids so the pacing of the game is great for me and time management

Welcome, Mushloom! You're so right about the pacing of the game...some players have had to put their barns on hiatus for a month or two, but when they come back they can pretty much pick up where they left off.

I'm Winter, my love for horses has been for all my life. I've never had the opportunity to own a horse, living in a city & now not having the physical ability. I enjoy playing on line games to see what kind of genes I can breed into horses. I'm very curious to see what Hunt & Jump is going to be like

Hello everyone! I'm Phiz and I love genetic games! I've played other breeding games like, Howrse, WolfGame, and DBG. So far I love finding out what all the different genes can do! I've always loved animals and helping them. Currently, I'm fostering a little kitten. I also like to volunteer at my local animal shelter and care for a neighborhood feral cat colony. I can't wait to get to know this community and hopefully breed some good horses!

Hello, hope you all are well. I joined HAJ to learn more about genetics and I hope to make some friends too. I own two horses in real like, an AQHA and a BLM Mustang. I am most definitely a coffee person.

Hey there ! I'm Lambda, I joined in october and then got a little busy- this site is a little bit daunting and I don't really know how to start at all despite looking around the site, I'd love to know where to find a simple tutorial/walkthrough for the basics. I bought a couple horses I thought were cute but that's as far as I got haha.

How long have you liked horses? - since I was 5 lol

Why did you join HAJ? - I saw an ad on facebook and liked the inclusion of realistic genetics

What kind of pets do you own? - none currently, I used to have a cat but he got attached to my dad and brother so when I moved I had to leave him behind to stay with them haha

Looking for new friends? Let us know! - I am ! I'd welcome anyone who can give me a few pointers on navigating teh site and how any of this works lol

What is something you are confused about with the game? - Currently I have a horse with no name, only a long number and I'm wondering if I can change it?

Hi, Rituwool! Welcome to the game. You can rename your horse by going to the horses main page (with all the statistics like age, date of birth, etc) and clicking on the tab that says Control Panel. Its pretty easy to figure out once you see it. Let us know if you have a problem, though. We LOVE to help out!
