    Have you ever spayed/gelded all your non-foundation horses and just started over? If so, how did that go?

    I'm thinking about re-starting from foundations. I know so much more now than I did when I started, and we have new tools that will make it easier to keep my generations straight in order to do even breeding. If you've done something like this, how did you avoid taking a hit to your show herd/bonus down the road? Did you keep some of the high PT horses intact for breeding strictly for show herd while you got your new program up and running?

    I have not done this myself, but if I were...

    I would start by just auctioning off everything over 10 and taking the lifetime payout. Sure you may lose a bit of potential earnings and your daily bonus will drop, but I would personally rather have the upfront funds. You could then use those funds to buy some pointed foundations under 10 to replenish your show stock if needed.

    I would also auction off all inconsistent lined horses. As far as PT goes, there has been a lot of talk lately (mostly on Bluegrass) and people finding that the top earners are either your super high PT (13+) or PTs in 9-10. For whatever reason the 11-12 range didn't earn quite as much. Take that with a grain of salt because I'm sure every server is a bit different and that may change down the road.

    I would try to held/spay everything else and keep as many horses under 10 as you can to keep your daily bonus up. You always want way more show ponies than breeders!

    Do you have any special foundations you're wanting to keep? If you sell off everything the system starts you back from scratch and you can make pointed creates again. It may be easier to start from nothing and build your show herd back up from pointed creates first.
