My Favorite Animal is: Dogs/Wolves/Anything K-9
My Favorite animal growing up used to be horses. I even dreamed I had a Belgian Draft, and took it into my parents house to bed with me. And my bed room was on the second floor of the house. Growing up though I never owned one nor have I to this day. I love on other peoples horses and a donkey too. I spoil them too. I grew up with dogs and have owned them sense. Even had one have puppies once. All my Dogs have been mutts my favorite dog breed of all. I have one now that I have had for a year now. Lost my oldest ever owned dog in Oct 2019 he was 15. I have had 3 females and this little one now makes 4 boys. Wouldn't know what to do with out them. -
Dogs are a close second for me. We actually just lost our boy this year (he was also a loveable mutt!) and miss him terribly.
Although cliche, my favorite animal is most definitely a horse. I was lucky enough to own my own horse (Ladyhawke, hence my barn name) when I was 11. Unfortunately I had to sell her when I went to college, but I still keep close tabs on her. She is now 26 and at her forever home occasionally giving lessons to walk-trotters. Since graduating college, I have leased a few different horses but haven't had the opportunity to buy another quite yet. Hopefully someday soon! :D -
Ravens
There is something about a raven, when you talk to them they will actually acknowledge you. They remember; they remember who hurt them and who help them. They are also tricksters with outrageous sense of humor and they can puzzle out their problems.
My parents have a small farm where they have raise horses and goats for years. On that farm there is a family group of Ravens. They have been their since forever, I've never not known them not to be there. The matriarch is a Raven that we nicknamed Nevermore. She and her family will respond to us when we talk to them. She did pick up a very unfortunate habit of taking the baby goats as soon as they were born. So we ended up taking one of the juvenile ravens. She learned, and stopped, they even went so far as to learning to protect the goats from other wildlife. They will alert us if there is coyotes too close to the yard.
Few years ago we bought the hobby farm not far from their place and a daughter brought her family here. We recognized her from my mom's house because she has a messed up foot. Few years ago we rescued a coonhound that hates birds ... birds drive him totally nuts. They have learned this and think it great idea to drive him absolutely batsnot crazy by sitting on the window sill and tapping the window. They will keep it up until we yell at them to leave him alone and its not funny.
So ravens are my favorite animal. :)Corvus Bluegrass Server 215460

Cats and bunnies! I have a chinchilla horse on each server named after my chinchilla bun Wally. I've had cats my entire life but learned the unique joy of rabbits 3 and a half years ago. They are so full of personality and happiness, and their happiness is contagious. When Wally gets up in the morning he does this funny run where he kicks his legs way out behind him, and when he's really excited he bops his head from side to side, and of course the binkies! Then there's Beignet, he's polish which is a small breed but he has a serious attitude so he's basically the 2 lb rabbit version of Joe Pesci. And Clover is the bossiest pet I've ever had and I love her so much! She's always grunting at me, and she'll run up to me and ram her head into me to make me do things. She has a petting spot and if she goes there I know I'm expected to come pet her :D I really love bunnies, truly they are amazing creatures.

Harpy eagles and hippos!
I love harpy eagles for their size, fashion sense, diet, awesome headgear. I think they are just fantastic looking animals. As for hippos I just find them really fascinating. They are huge and have this gentle cutsie reputation but are really lethal.Need to contact me? Read this first.
I sometimes get busy and miss things. If your private message, question, etc. gets missed please ping me so I can follow up with you. I am also always happy to explain or clarify. (HAJ does not have a customer service email, please send me a forum message! )

LadyHawk sorry to hear this. And I cried for a month straight after loosing my last boy. He was most definetly a Mommas Boy. I could not leave him to even step out the door to do something and come back in he would cry. And that was the last year of his life. I finaly got the new little guy a month later and it help ease the pain. And he was by no means a replacement for the one I lost. But I just need that compainion ship. They are like my therapist in fur. I can not be with out one as long as I can take care them.

Corvus 1. Love it.

Pinkie 3. My son owned a rabbit when he was little, she was a sweet heart and her and my shep/chow mix used to play together. I have had cats over the years too and loved them as much as my dogs. And some of my farms are named after some of those dogs I have owned. One is the nickname of one of them.

Ammit. I know what you mean about those Harpys. They are huge and oh so pretty. And Hippose your right they are lethal. they can take on a crock and win. And they are one animal the crocks will give way to.

It's entirely a cliche but I have to go with horses. I have had horses most of my life, there is something so majestic about a horse. I once lived without horses for 6 years and it was the utmost miserable 6 years of my life. There is a calming effect they have on me and if I ever find myself lost, sad, angry, ect I just go hang out with the herd and I am in balance again. I sometimes think I was a horse in a past life...lol :D

I’m not even sorry to say mine are horses. I’d already gotten it in my blood, but I think I’m so attached because during my childhood, they were my safe haven. I grew up in a very turbulent household surrounding my step-dad and remember many times I’d go out and hop on my horse while she was grazing and just lay on her with nothing on her to get away from the arguing for what felt like hours. Even to this day, if I have a rough day - out to the horses I go! Whether it’s to groom them or ride, they’re extremely therapeutic!!!
-
Hypnautic I love the smell of a horse. And yes they are majestic. My dog and the dogs I have had over the years have been to me what horses are to you. I call them my furry therapist. You can tell them dogs and horses any thing and they will never repeat it.

arya2020 I used to go out when I was a kid and crawl in under the porch or into the dog house with my dog when ever I got my feelings hurt or just needed alone time. Or was upset about some thing or angry or for what ever reason. I still remember the day I was in there crying over somthing and next thing I know I see the nieghbor looking in the box at me. He asked if i was ok and I said yes just need my dog.

I'm a big fan of animals, and I don't think I've ever met one I didn't like at least from a distance. My favorite single animal though would have to have been my pet rat, Henry. I got him in high school as part of a science project and fell in love, He was my best friend for 4 years. He did tricks and was big enough I convinced our hunter cats he was not a snack. He moved cross country twice with me and lasted longer than my first marriage.
Right now I'm trying to convince Hunny we need to add a cat to our life. We've only had the fish tanks since we put our dog down, and I miss fur.Known as Seaswell on HJ1(237808) & HJ2(45120)

My favorite animal is definitely a horse. I got my first horse for my High School Graduation present from my mom. My horse was 2 years old and I was 18 years old. My first horse lived to be 24 1/2 years old. I currently own a horse. She is a Spotted Warmblood. She will be Sweet 16 next month! I’m seriously hoping to breed a horse that looks like her on all 3 Servers on her birthday.
If I had to pick another animal besides a horse then I’d say a Cat. However ever since my cat passed away in May I do not really want another cat. She was the Best cat ever! I’m hopefully getting a puppy soon. I’m really excited and I can’t wait to get it! -
I love all animals and always have. I have often said that I like most animals better than most people lol. We have always had dogs and cats and I like both equally. My favorite dog passed away last summer and I just love on our other dogs now.
One animal I would really like to own is a sugar glider. They are so cute! -
DejaRea I have never had Rats as a pet. But I hear they make great pets. I have although had mice from time to time. My stepson even had one for a while. I love all animals but like the story goes above I love my dogs/wolves/ K-9 family
-
EvieC. I wish dogs could live as long as horse. I have had cats over the years and loved them all. Good luck with you new puppy.

Amber. I have always love all animals I was always trying to help them and bringing strays home as a kid. I even tried to keep a naked baby bird alive once that I found that had washed out of the spouting pipe on to the side walk at my grandparents house. Sorry for the loss of you Dog. I know that pain. I once said to my vet, why do we do this to ourselves, it kills me every time I loose one but I can not be with out one.
