The Winter 2020 Gift Exchange is now open. (The link under the community tab of our navigation.) You have until the end of November to enter. This thread will be a place for the experienced to share tips and for anyone to ask questions or make requests for help.

Make sure you read the entire entry form and are detailed and use the CORRECT names of genes/herd helpers etc in your wishlist form.

Schedule:

Dec 1st Assignments Announced
Dec 15th First Gifts Go Out
Dec 22rd Givers Revealed, Public Gifts Go Out
Dec 31st Last Day to Give Gifts

Jan 1st MANDATORY Feedback Form Opens
Jan 15th Last day to provide feedback.

**Failure to fill out your feedback form will result in you being dropped to level 1 in the exchange or possibly even barred from entering next time. .**

This question may have been asked in the prior exhange but if I have an alt account that can create pointed horses, can I transfer one to myself to work on for the gift exchange?

All assignments have gone out. If the wishlist you received has problems please send me a PM and I will help make sure things are sorted out.

No, you can not transfer horses between your associated accounts. You can send them to your recipient direct in the final week of the exchange though.

If my giftee has a free account, I cannot send them straws, correct?

Correct. You can but they won't be able to use them.

Is there a way to have someone ask my giftee a question? One of her wants is a splash M gene... I don't have it, and before I purchase straws for her, I'd like to know if she has the license or is willing to purchase it.

If you just open their member page you can see if they have the license or not.

I am really struggling with finding horses that match my giftees requirements I really need some help

Feel free to PM me with specific questions, but here are a few tips in general!

1. Unless you giftee specifically said otherwise, show ponies (high PT and high points) always make great gifts!

2. Use that search function heavily. Message players that breed for similar things and see if they can help. Consistently check the sales board and don't forget about the auctions!

3. Get familiar with the special HH offered this month. I guarantee there are one or two that fit what your giftee is looking for

4. Also not expected for the lower level exchange at all, but if you happen to create a candy pony, that one horse by itself way over exceeds any expectations for the 25,000 level. A candy pony can be turned in for a GMT which is worth 125,000.

Hopefully that helps and again feel free to reach out if you need more help. Don't stress, any gift you are able to give will be appreciated! There are plenty of wonderful people willing to help out and lots of special opportunities in December (like the HH and candy ponies) that make great gifts!

I filled out all the gift exchange feedback forms yesterday (about 16 hours ago) but it now doesn't show. I did hit submit. I am now not sure if I need to do them again. Has anyone else experienced this?

You have until the 15th to fill this out after that you will be penalized for future gift exchange entries. If you need a make-up gifter tomorrow is your very last day to request one.
