Selling young horses
-
Hello,
I started playing last month and this is my second breeding season. I'm running quite low on stall space so I was thinking on maybe selling some of my 2 year olds. But I don't know how to tell what horse will earn a lot of daily points in the future because now they earn 1 or 2hb a day.
Any advice on that?
Thanks! -
It's random. Also depends if these horses are bootstrapped 2yr olds or 2nd gen from a newer era.

The best way I can think of is to test their performance. Horses gain more points thus money when they go up levels. The higher the PT score the older they will be when they level off. Do you have any national light horses you are interested in selling? I could take a look at them and see if they match what I prefer in my living new

@LookingGood - sorry english is not my first language so I don't know what is a bootstrapped horse.
@Skygold - so basically I should sell 2 year old horses with low PT and not look at their daily points or how much they have earned?
Sadly I only have medium and heavy horses -
You should still look at that. I had a low PT foal that still earned a lot of points before he leveled off. Low PT scores are only indicative of when they reach the end of their training ability. Many leveled off horses still make a lot of money and earn a lot of points depending on which level they leveled off

Bootstrapping is when you breed the best possible stallion to your mares, ignoring breeding even papers. So, it would be breeding a 2 star or 3 star stallion to foundation mares. It increases your PT scores very quickly and is a good way to build a show herd.Thanked by 1Koooogh

ok, thank you to you both.
