I Think I Finally Figured out my Goals on this Server! (picture heavy!)
  • I've known since starting on here I wanted to do some sort of stock horse-esque breeding, and I think I finally figured out those specifications more and the criteria for my other lines!

    Line 1
Warmbloods in "traditional" stock horse colors with at least some amount of chrome (the more the merrier though!) between 14.3hh and 17.0hh.

    Examples
    image
    Fire Savvy 2G

    image
    Flamedancer 2G

    image
    Faerie Temptation 2G

    image
    Splashing Wine 2G

    image
    Dogged Ice 2G

    image
    Shiny Orchards 2G

    image
    Firebird 3G

    Line 2
Liver frame warmbloods (with appaloosa as well), with flaxen sneaking in on the chestnuts. (And splash is what does the blue eyes, right? If so, that slipping in too!)

    Examples
    image
    Exceptional Freak 2G

    image
    Running Freak 2G

    image
    Half Freaks 2G

    image
    Faerie Freak UE 3G

    image
    Other Side Of Freak 2G

    image
    The Crowning 2G

    Line 3
Draft and warmblood horses with chocolate, satin, DP, KP/KP2, KitM, and sabino. (No clear examples yet, but some of what I'm breeding for!)

    Examples

    Glittering Seas 2G

    image
    Half Ocean 2G

    Tide Time 2G

What are you breeding for on here? How long did it take you to figure out what your goals were?
    ID 635.

Dorduncu (means "fourth" in Turkish, for Quarter Horses) Warmbloods, and the occasional draft. Always have stock for sale so feel free to inquire!

Line 1: Warmbloods in "traditional" stock horse colors with chrome between 14.3hh and 17.0hh.
Line 2: Liver frame splash warmbloods (with appaloosa as well), with flaxen sneaking in on the chestnuts.
Shining Stars: Draft and warmblood horses with chocolate, satin, DP, KP/KP2, KitM, and sabino.
  • Over here, I breed chunky browns. I'm trying to get as much ice out of my gmt boy as I can, but I'm really focused on getting a small army of browns with champagne, silver, and cream mixed in. Various white genes sprinkled on top.

  • I have also recently decided what I was going to breed! Dapple greys/ dapple grey splashes and brindles!
  • Awesome! It took me about a month to decide, I am breeding liver and chocolate pali riding horses with a sprinkle of fun fantasy genes.

I made a few of my foundies het for different fantasy genes like mushroom and nexus and it's been a lot of fun trying to get hom foals in gen 3 and 4!
  • I knew right off the bat what I wanted from this sever! I am breeding for DP, Sooty Cremello, Perlino and Chocolate Palomino Riding Horses with some Satin and Pearl. I decided on that because I was starting to veer away from my typical lines on Bluegrass, in favor of the light colored horses. It's very different from my other 2 accounts so I figured I could dedicate my whole Mesa account just for that.
  • I'm aiming for fantasy genes, hom sooty, hom dp cobs. Any splash, appy etc is just icing on the cake!
  • Thats alotta cuties!
  • I've decided to start a bootstrap line, just to see how it goes. It starts with this fellow who is an aga son of a fully boosted foundation, and 5 exceptionally perfect grey mares.

  • I'm breeding just LP PATN1 Riding Horse, DP, Sty, TE2, ND1, Snowflake; in Satin and without. No fantasy genes. I do have a few Seaponies whose GTMs I have to turn in, but I have no idea what to use them on yet.

Appaloosa, Snowflake, Satin, SB2, SplM, Mushroom, KP2, KP Riding Horses
    Corvus1 Mesa Server 348
Appaloosa Riding Horses with Snowflake, Tiger Eye, DP, Halo
  • Woah @corvus1, I love the way Darkness and Love are varnishing! Super cool!
  • @DejaRea probably not so much a bootstrap line with the sire likely a low A and the mares exceptionals anyway. Most red gen2 mares would be about the same quality and you could do the same thing with even generation breeding? Not that you need to breed even of course, but depending on your goals I don't think you are gaining a heap on a foundation mare by using a gen2 stallion. Bootstrapping is more when the older line much higher quality stallions are used to quickly bring up the quality from foundations. Obviously hard to do here when we don't have the higher generation stallions yet
  • @Kintara I know there isn't a bunch of betterment yet, and I'll have to keep looking for better colts as the server gets bigger, but I like the freeform way I handle my bootstrap lines versus my even lines. Being able to start with a boosted colt while we are still so little seems like a step in the right direction.
