Help us write the description for the bonus Winter Celebration BC the American Miniature Horse!
  • image

The amazing Jenx was able to sneak in one extra BC for us for 2024. With the addition of true miniatures in the game, an AMH seemed like the ideal BC candidate.

-This BC will be out in a few days
-It is for light and medium-bone horses.
-There are no size restrictions for using this BC.
-This contest will end on Tuesday

I need a roughly 250-character-long blurb about the American Miniature Horse breed (about 3 sentences). It must be between 200 and 300 characters long. This is strictly enforced and I will toss out anything less than 200 or more than 300 characters.

Please use a Character Counter to confirm your length before posting.

Lots of examples of what I am looking for can be seen on the BC unlock page.

You have today and Monday to submit your entries. I will pick one winner whose entry I like best to win 5 golden tokens.

    Good luck!

  • Oh my gosh! Adorable!! Way to go Jenx!
My first go at any of these blurbs. X_X

AMRs are basically a full-size horse that got zapped by the shrink ray. They have a refined neck, angulated shoulders and large eyes paired with a charming personality. Initially bred for their novel size and usefulness in mine work; they have since found many uses as companions or exhibition.

  • Wow! I absolutely love this new breed characteristic ! Thank you, Jenx!

Sorry about that first version, Ammit! I should have read the rules more carefully! I thought it said 200-300 words instead of characters!

Tiny and flashy, the American Miniature Horse presents all the admired qualities of a full sized horse in a compact package. Known for retaining grace, a strong heart, and the elegant build of an Arabian, this little horse is a novel, versatile breed that excels in therapy, showing, and driving.

  • They're so cute!

Blending elegance and charm in a pint-sized package, the American Miniature Horse is a beloved companion known for its gentle and intelligent demeanor. With angled shoulders, wide eyes, elegantly arched necks, and compact bodies, these refined horses excel in showmanship, driving, and therapy. (294)

edit: adding one more, and edited the above.

The American Miniature Horse is a friendly, beloved breed that resembles a miniature Arabian Horse, with angled shoulders, long necks, large eyes, and flared nostrils. Known for their intelligence, curiosity, and gentleness, these horses excel in driving, jumping, liberty, and companionship. (292)

  • Just out of curiosity, are we allowed multiple entries? Or is it just one each?
  • As many as you want.

  • American Miniature Horses originated from English and Dutch mine horses and were brought here in the 19th century. Today's miniature horses are a smaller version of a well-balanced Arabian. They are extremely versatile and excel in driving, jumping, halter, obstacles and make great companions.

  • Entry 2:

    (282 characters)

With their gracefully arched neck and flowing movement, the versatile American Miniature Horse stands out among the mini breeds. Derived from the small Dutch and English horses used in mines, these little horses are now prized as novel companions and as Driving and Showing horses.

    Entry 3:

    (300 characters)

Derived from small Dutch and English mine horses, but now standardized by the AMHA that was founded in 1978, the American Miniature Horse has become a well loved novelty breed. With the flowing motion and arched neck of an Arabian, these tiny horses excel in Driving, Halter and Showmanship classes.
  • Our winner is Cavalynn on bluegrass server! Thank you so much, to everyone who entered.

Used in mines as late as 1950, the American Miniature Horse of today has been bred for its beauty and novelty. Though standing no higher than 34 inches, their well-balanced proportions make them appear full-sized. They have large eyes, alert faces, and a friendly, curious, and easy-to-train nature.
