Someone please sympathize with me (Even if you think I’m crazy)

    I know to some people this might sound ridiculous but I am so sad tonight because an owl got my special duck pet. I have a huge flock of chickens and only allow myself one special one to become attached to (my little bantam) but I also grew attached to this little female duck that I rescued from a neglect situation. Her name was Rosanna and she was just so full of quirky personality and grew to realty trust and bond with me - she was almost like a dog. *sigh* now she is gone. Sorry if this sounds ridiculous.

    Not crazy =(( chickens and other poultry can be just as much a pet as dogs and cats. I always noticed one special bird in almost every flock I've had <3

    Oh hun I'm sorry, I understand, we have a hawk and a fox after ours at the moment me the pellet rifle and the dog have been on guard all week.
    We have 267 chickens and 5 rescue ducks, the ducks all have misshapen legs so the can't run or really get away from danger so the fox has decided they are dinner. Don't even get me started on all the other animals we have yall might judge us :)

    So sorry for the loss of the duck. It is a hard thing when the animals pass unexpectedly like that.

    Thanks guys- some people I’ve met just don’t understand what the big deal is about a duck. I’m really missing her. I think the chickens miss her too - she had special chicken buddies in the flock.
