ISO Breeding Cap Stallion
-
Hi All
I'm looking to purchase a breeding cap stallion. He doesn't need to be anything fancy and won't be bred. I seem to have hit a lull in my stallions but can't tell if I've reached breeding cap or not. Wanting something I can comp test
Any help greatly appreciated
Many thanksHAJ1-Mitchell022 HAJ2-Ellesmere022/WelshValley HAJ3-ThatLeatherSmell/WelshValley

Just so you know comparison test can't prove if a horse is breeding cap. The only way to know for sure is to have sba passed foals with a *** parent.
Sorry not currently taking any request for egg/straw/horse sales. Everything I have for sale is already listed. -
I have lots, but most are not heavy bone. Want me to show you some anyway?

This one has TWO *** parents:
SuperCharge Maybe boost -
These are all SBA Passed from ***Star sires, at least: https://mesa.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=2765680

Maxed out:
G9 Laddie Maximus -
I just realized that you said you DONT want him for breeding lol
-
@Abhean surely if I purchase a horse that is breeding cap, I can comp test my stallions against him and work it out that way?HAJ1-Mitchell022 HAJ2-Ellesmere022/WelshValley HAJ3-ThatLeatherSmell/WelshValley

@Walywoohoo he's probably well out of my budget, but how much for Laddie Maximus?HAJ1-Mitchell022 HAJ2-Ellesmere022/WelshValley HAJ3-ThatLeatherSmell/WelshValley

I have no price in mind; he's literally just sitting in my barn. Make offer?

I think I would hope for a minimum of around 100k?

AGA will tell you if the horse is within some percentage of the other horse. It’s a range check. Is the horse within 1 standard deviation of breeding quality of the horse being measured?
So if you are unlucky you could AGA yourself downward. -
For example, I have a colt who was **Star, and tested aga a Maxed, cap colt. So I assumed the first one would pass SBA, but he failed (his sire is *** boosted). So it's possible to be good enough to be aga, but not actually aga.
