Here's a list of foals that have the same sire and dam. I maxed a filly (#4 in the list) has a PT of 13.7, while a colt who is NOT maxed has a PT of 14! How is the maxed one lower? What am I missing haha

I believe the maxing is for breeding ability.

Maxing should affect showing ability as well. My foals PT goes up after maxing.

It does indeed. You will get the best showing ability possible but may not get the best PT possible because of inconsistency.

Hmm ok! I didn't realize that could be the cause, because she's "consistent". But obviously not PERFECTLY consistent...

I usually run over to the gmt lab and run consistency on the ones I max out. Sometimes they stay the same, sometimes they go up by a couple tenths even if they started out as consistent. :D

I usually do as well, and I wonder if I did make the colt perfectly consistent, and then deleted the tattoo? I don't remember :))
