  • Will the foundation horses be breedable if you run them through testing? Or is it best not to test them?

  • Don't BA/SBA, but the other tests are safe
  • If you test them (breeding advice or SBA) Im confident they would fail ;)
  • I made one to double check, and look what happened :))

  • Thanks all, I have not been using the BA/SBA much on my breeding horses either, I have too many beautiful foals gelded or spayed, my first and only star colt got gelded so I had to use a gmt to un geld him lol
@Walyhoohoo I have a candy horse too - it's the season for candy horses :)

  • You really will have a much better stable if you use SBA on everything. :)
Sorry not currently taking any request for egg/straw/horse sales. Everything I have for sale is already listed.
  • @Abhean on my new foals from pasture I use the test and do sale back to game if the foal fails, I tend not to do the test if I hand breed the foal.

  • Your pasture foals will be more likely to pass BA/SBA because they have the benefit of a pasture bonus to give you a better chance at top foals.

Live cover foals don't have any bonus at all, so they are most likely to fail BA/SBA.

Foals born via straws or embryos have a slight bonus (I think equivalent to a 15 day pasture bonus), so they have a better chance of passing over live cover foals.

Of course, there's still an element of chance to it all. So you'll still get pasture foals that fail, and live cover foals that pass. When you're breeding large batches though, you'll notice a higher pass rate in your pasture foals.

  • @RamshornSportHorses that is a go tip, I have not thought about that aspect of pasture breeding. I just have such bad luck when it comes to breeding a very flashy foal only to have my hopes crushed because it got fixed lol

  • I like flushing a mare and using straws from one to three studs and see what happens. Usually I get at least one foal that can be a future breeder. I also find out if the pairing is worth continuing and generally what kind of foals the pair throw.
