How does GMTing tiger eye onto brindles work if you want it to show? Do you just need to guess which gene patch the eye falls in?

Here is my starting chimera a Buckskin Roan Dun Tobiano and Chestnut Appaloosa

Here they are after adding Tiger eye to the chestnut appy dna set. No visible tiger eye. After many rerolls it never show up.

Here is what they look like after moving it to the primary DNA set. After many rerolls it always shows up.

So the answer is, the eye color of the primary DNA set is what will show.

Awesome, thank you so much for looking at that! Kinda fun to figure out. For this particular baby I got impatient, and decided I wouldn’t be too heartbroken to have tiger eye on both strands in case I guessed wrong. It was fairly obvious the secondary DNA set was around his eye, so I put two copies on the secondary strand and got nothing. Didn’t reroll as I liked his patches, but put a copy on primary and it immediately showed. Was really curious as to how that was working, thanks for finding out!

Eye color happens in a different part of the generator from the embryo blending so I am guessing it never even sees the second DNA set.
