What direction should I go?
-
Since most players use the discord now I have no idea if I'll get feedback here, or not. I don't use discord and feel types of ways about it in relation to this game, so I won't be on there.
I have had a bigger account for some time and this month my daily income dropped. As to be expected when not playing the game.
I'm at a crossroads. Do I start playing again and continue to have to change what and how I'm breeding/playing constantly or do I let all my horses mostly die off and, at some point, use my saved game funds and start basically all over once the game changes settle down for bit?
That leaves me wondering will there be a point the changes will slow down?
Any input is welcomed. Thanks. -
I think I am going to pretty much “start again” in June with the new era. I’ll keep my higher gen era 0 and 1 herd for sentimental reasons, I love those horses, but everything else will go to the show barns, and I’ll be focusing on building up era 9 from the ground up.
I do have discord but rarely check in. I miss the forum being more active. -
Is there a particular reason that recent changes have thrown a wrench into your existing breeding plans?
I just adapt and move forward when a change comes around.
I have scrapped entire projects and started with something fresh when a particular line or goal isn’t bringing satisfaction anymore. Maybe a new goal or project would help you get excited about breeding again?Ramshorn Ranch

Also, I will say that though the discord is a little more active than the forum it is usually a lot of the same folks commenting and participating. So not much different than the forum in that it’s the same small handful of faces.
For whatever reason I think a lot of players just don’t utilize the community aspects of the game.Ramshorn Ranch

Yeah, my advice is basically what ram said. Try to adapt or find something new. If you really think you should, you could scrap it and restart. I guess there has been a lot of changes recently but there has not been many that have overly impacted me personally. But there has always been changes. Ammit is just trying to make everything work better and more fairly, and that will probably never end. That's an Ammit question I guess.
And I agree that the discord isn't that active either. I actually don't think there's a lot of mesa players on there (or at least that I see). I have noticed the forums and chat rooms becoming a lot less active lately but I don't know why. The discord doesn't have an overwhelming level of activity. I think the most used channel is probably the non-game related chatter, which there has never really been any of that in the forums either way.
Anyways, my advice would just be to do what you think is best. You probably don't want to hear that. If you're really thinking that scrapping it all is the best option, do it. If you're a bit attached to your pixel ponies, then don't. There's also the option to just kinda ignore the changes. Most of the changes have been to the leaderboards, which affect your winnings, but, maybe another option is to just not focus too much on leaderboards anymore. It all really depends on you. Maybe this helped, maybe it didn't. :)DarkPhoenix #15470 (she/her) ~ Premium Upgrade

Since I am pretty new, I guess I did not notice the changes or started playing after them. I do think you should continue to play! You can still start over by letting your horse die off while playing with what you currently have!
