Breeder / Program Directory
-
Hi all, I've been mulling over posting this for a little while, I hope everyone joins in and thinks it's a useful resource!
As we all know the search horses function is really powerful and great at helping us find what we need when it comes to breeding, but this doesn't quite cover all eventualities (and can be a bit daunting for newbies), so I thought it might be useful for us to post what our programs are all on the same discussion?
Wensum Valley Ponies Program
The Wensum is a chalk river that flows through Norfolk in the UK. It's name comes from the Anglo-Saxon word for "winding"
E6, E7 and E8 Lines (currently up to G4)
Mostly Cob but some shorter Draft body types
0% Inbreeding on all stock
All stock evenly bred from Yellow / C foundations
No specific focus on colour but no licenced genes are used.
The stock are not maxed or boosted, stallions at the same paper level as their sire are comparison tested.
Example stock
Wensum Morgawrs Flame 6G3
Wensum Galactic Soul 7G2K
Wensum Destruction E8
I hope you can all share your program information with everyone! I know some of our longer standing members have their fingers in many pies, don't feel like you have to post everything if you are a serial collector :)**Wensum Valley Ponies**
Breeding quality family cobs for temperament, ability and colour.

We always have a range of super ponies for sale -
I have a few projects that I have kept in house with no outside breeding or public stallions. So I will just share what I have for public availability. Fun idea!
Ramshorn Sport Horses
The Ramshorn is a mountain peak in Western Wyoming, USA. I love riding my real life horses in the mountains, so you'll see a lot of mountain vibes with my account and my horses.
I have an era based breeding herd. There are small batches of mares, and stallions organized by Era in Eras 0-8. I like to focus on warmblood sized horses with dun, roan, rabicano or W29 (formerly W3). Unfortunately, I have a weakness for some of the licensed genes so a lot of my stock has mushroom and DFP2. Starting in Era 9 I want to incorporate more platinum, tarnish and jewel box as well. Depending on the era you'll see me trying to match breeding even generations, but for the most part my focus is trying to increase the paper level quality of my stock in each Era to reach cap level.
I have a chat room for live cover breeding to my retired stallions or stallions with DFP1 that cannot be listed for live cover breeding: https://mesa.horsegeneticsgame.com/buddy_chat.php?chatid=1559
I try to keep straws for my active breeding stallions stocked throughout the month. For retired stallions straws are available by private message request.
Eras 0-5: I am up to CAP level **Star and **Gold stock. I have a few young ***Star boosted stallions that are available for straws or live cover.
Era 0 ***Star
RAM Tiger Sauce
Era 1 ***Star (Available starting in May)
RAM Neon Trees
Era 2 ***Star
RAM Chromatic Curse
Era 3 ***Star
RAM Feral Fortune
Era 4 CAP **Star
RAM Rowdy Fortune
Era 5 CAP **Star
RAM Ruthless Ridge
Era 6: I am just getting to **Star and **Gold stock. My best stud currently is a **Star (worse than cap)
RAM Royal Hyena
Era 7: My Era 7 herd I have been breeding even generation pairs, but for most of the herd quality is lagging behind the top leaderboard lines in that era by a generation. I do have a Gen 5 stud that comparison tests with my gen 5 benchmarks as being in the high *star range. He is my best offering in this era currently. No licensed genes on this one.
RAM Commanding Fate
Era 8: I have been going with super strict standards in my Era 8 herd. I'm sticking to evenly bred generations, and very strict comparison testing standards that the horses left intact must meet my benchmarks. Have been using a lot of 45 day bonus embryos to help produce foals at the top level. It has resulted in a smaller pool of intact horses at each generation, but what is there is the cream of the crop. Currently available is my 3rd Gen A Papered stud, no licensed genes.

Like Ramshorn, I have several projects going.
My focus is on Silver Smoky Blacks with Sooty+ and modifiers. All evenly bred, but I made some mistakes with the era 0 project at the foundation level so it didn't start out that even.
I name my studs once they turn 3, so anybody without a name isn't available for breeding (yet).
I use 45 day embryos exclusively for project breeding since it became possible.
My first and longest project, "Smoke" era 0 Silver Smoky Blue Roan with Frame, just reached cap (I think). I started with a gen 2 stallion from B and Red parents. Kit Promoter got in there somehow, I don't know where, but I like it.
My upcoming stud:
O9 3538268
His sire:
O8 Smokin Hot
I have an era 6 project, "Silver," which is Silver Smoky Blue Roan with Appaloosa. From B/Red foundations. Currently on gen 5.
Current and upcoming stallions:
O4 6 Silver Dagger
Either:
O5 6 3585889
or
O5 6 3585891
I have 2 era 8 projects, "Artillery" with dun and sabino, and "Revolution" (I named the foundation from the random name generator and just ran with the theme). The "Revolution" line goes off the beaten path with chestnut and palomino miniatures. Both lines are from C/Yellow foundations (obviously) and currently on gen 4.
Current and upcoming stallions:
O4 8 3585921
O3 8 Regiment
O4 8 mini 3585904
O3 8 mini Minutemen

Maricol riding horses
(Maricol is the name of a world in a steampunk fantasy novel that I really loved)
I like to breed Appaloosas but Ammit's new changes have also made me interested in Sabino horses. Any base colour usually, except blue roan that I am not very fond of. I try for zero percent inbreeding. I have so far managed to breed Blue and A papered mares and stallions solely from my own created herds and with zero percent inbreeding with all but one exception. -
Foxbrook Farms, breeder of Aurenard (“of the Fox”) sport horses and ponies. I primarily have and breed sport ponies and warm bloods, excelling in the show ring for dressage and jumps, or barrel racing and cow cutting, or endurance riding.
Genes you will find in my studs include tiger eye, KP 1and 2, sabino, sooty plus, lots of dun, roan, and silver. This is all through my era 1 lines. Some DFP1 and 2 as well.
My premium gene line features tarnish and DFP 1 and 2, with some platinum sprinkled in. These are era 7 and 8.
Not sure what era 9 will bring but I plan to focus on a foundation up line for when that begins.
Straws are available from all my studs, so feel free to search ID 220 and send me a message!
