I’m guessing maybe this is the sign I need to get discord and figure it out?

Just want to say thank you for the super fun experience over the years! This feels like the end of an era.

Random Acts of Giving will still happen in June and December. So there will still be gifting going on. Just not the formal assignments of the past.

And yes, you should get discord! Lots of conversation goes on in there regarding new game features and feedback before it makes it to the forum.

This was the first time I did the GE & really enjoyed shopping for my giftee and was bummed that its not happening anymore. Its understandable with the amount of work that probably went into it though.

I'm not on discord but I think RAoG will run in a similar way. Pick a list and shop for it. Or several items from several lists, or a single item for everyone who entered. I too, love the gift exchange but this year I only did lvl 1 because of where I'm at with the game and with life. The massive upside is there's no longer levels to qualify for and I'm sure that has a huge impact on players feeling better equipped to handle it. If you can spend 200 gmts for dream foundations, feel free to go for it. If your new, and not sure if you're able to fulfill a wishlist, just find a list or a request you are comfortable with. Easy. There may be better participation in June than this past December.

Every year it was lots of drama for me to deal with and this year it was just too much. For my own mental health, I pulled the plug.

Many of our players prefer RAoG and many only participate there already. I think it will just work better for all.

Glad at least I wasn’t the only one out of the loop! I will try out discord, I like keeping up with things. I’m sure the Random Acts will be just as much fun! I was just surprised!

I was also sad to learn that this was the last GE. This was my first year of this game and I really enjoyed the GE. Will I qualify for the Random Acts if I never made it to level 2?

I must admit I prefer the RAoG and have not been doing the GE for a while as sometimes the holiday times get very busy and I never know if I have enough time to spend on the GE whereas RAoG can be a little or a lot both in time and hbs/money.
