Max question, due to changes
-
I am wondering if a foal from perfect foundation parents will be inferior to one with perfect, modified consistent parents. I dumped several GMT tokens into a fun new project but forgot to mod the stud to perfect consistency and am devastated*! But I tried maxing a colt and he's got 10.5 PT and I'm wondering if he'll be behind colts with perfect consistency, or he'll be able to be competitive. Long goal is to boost his get into other eras, once they get to cap.
*I'm as devastated as I can be, about pixel ponies who eat fake grass and win fake money ;)

Change I mentioned: cloning doesn't pop the foal above the max. I used cloning for my previous line, to get an edge over the competition.

Perfecting consistency on a horse doesn’t change the breeding ability. I think your maxed foals would be equal quality from perfect foundation consistent parents vs maxed foals from perfect foundation perfectly consistent parents.
I would just go ahead and carry on.Ramshorn Ranch

True. In my era 6 line, the PT edge gave me higher PT in following generations, so I guess I mainly want to make sure I won't be dragging behind the other's PT scores...
-
Yeah I don't think it matters since PT is based on the parent breeding ability while consistency just affects PT. And then if you're making the foals perfectly consistent, everything should be fine.DarkPhoenix #15470 (she/her) ~ Premium Upgrade

Were you able to clone in era 6?
My guess is that making your foals perfectly consistent and then cloning bumped your foals up over others. The consistency of the parents really wouldn’t matter since you were maxing and then perfecting consistency in the foals later.Ramshorn Ranch
