Genetic modification
-
If I add a new gene on my horse that should affect their phenotype, will their appearance change? For example, if I were to add the E gene on a chestnut, would their appearance change into a bay horse and instead of chestnut it would say their colour is bay?
-
It depends on the agouti gene (a/A). If the horse is a/a, it will be black. If it has A, the horse will be bay.
ee is a red based horse, and adding E will make it black based. Hope that makes sense. You can always try it on, and then refund the GMT if you want. You can refund anything other than size, consistency, or gender, I believe. As long as you do it within 2 weeks. -
Thanks for the info but does that mean the horse's appearance in the picture will change?
-
If a change is made that should affect their image, yes. However, if you add, say, a recessive gene and they're het, it won't change. But adding E to a chestnut should change their appearance somewhat.
And if it doesn't change, regenerate the imageDarkPhoenix #15470 (she/her) ~ Premium Upgrade

Thanks, that's what I wanted to know! I will have so much fun!
