Merging DNA Question

    Hi, I’ve never done this before, however I’d like to know a little bit more about it. Would it boost my horse to become better if I merged DNA? I’m aware it’s only full siblings the can be merged but what would happen if I merged a 14.5 with a 14.8 for example? (I’m not planning on doing this) but I’d like to know a little bit of information about it and how it can benefit my breeding farm in future if I decide to use this feature

    It doesn't give any kind of boost. (That I'm aware of)

    If you were to merge the example horses, the 14.8 needs to be the "base" if you wanted to keep the higher of the PT. Though it's been a while since I did this, so I'm not 100% that the PT would change once merged. :)

    Only the color DNA transfers from the horse you use and delete. Everything else stays the same on the horse you open the GMT lab with. :)

    When merging lined horses, I try to get rid of the worst horse I have. So usually a gelding or spayed mare with the lowest PT.
