The gift exchange is fun. You should join.

(Actually you should do whatever makes you happy. But if you are considering the gift exchange, I recommend it.)

Perhaps you are worried you will be bad at this? The very fact you worry about such a thing will let you do great! The server is very supportive.

There is an amazing primer on how to write a wish list at the top of the forum right now. The short short answer is more information is always better. “I like pretty horses” doesn’t help me. “I like dark horses with a light shimmer” is good. “I like EE with S+ and sa/sa” is best, but in no way required. Do you like big horses? Fantasy horses? Whose horses catch your eye? Anything. Ramble. Use bullet points. I don’t care. Just get me that sexy sexy info.

Worried that you can’t spend real money? Level 1 has *no* expectation of real money. There will be cool herd helpers throughout the month that you’ll be able to gift. The Big Barns actively want to help.

We like to be nice to each other. The world is hard and cold. We actively choose to try to make this little bit of the internet fun and kind. That’s what the gift exchange is— just us playing around.
