Futurity Stallion Question

    I don’t necessarily have a question just more of a clarification. Could anyone tell me how well this boy would do in the Stallion Futurity Standings (as of without foals), and then how well he would produce after maxing and finally 5% boosting? I am leaning towards highlighting this boy for Futurity since Era 4 is not as High yet in categories. But I don’t want to save up and spend time on getting the HBs if the boy isn’t going to then “payout.” Thanks for your feedback and hopefully this boy will do good once I do, do what I plan.

    Edit: I just remembered that boosting decreases the era by one, so this boy will become Era 3, if I know what Im talking about, I don’t really know. lol

    Maxing and boosting would set him pretty solidly at A papered, maybe a mid-to-low Star. Era 4 has already hit cap-quality for **Star and **Gold. If you are wanting to chase the Era leaderboards, my advice would be to start in Era 7, or go for Era 6 when you’ll be able to get B and Red papered foundations in June. :)

    Because of his era and paper level I don’t think he would be very competitive Futurity wise. Even after boosting. Eras 0-6 have a lot of stallions that are above him in breeding ability, so their foals will have better showing ability and likely outperform his foals in any Futurity standings.

    Era 7 starting in June would be a great place to start out on the same playing field as everyone else.

    My main hesitation is he isn’t evenly bred. For whatever reason, some people want to breed matching papers every gen. Some people breed from foundation and then each gen. Some people don’t and that’s okay! But when you want the most people to bred to the horse this is a thing to pay attention to.
