I know I’ve been really busy and swamped with a bunch of stuff so far this year, and this may explain why I haven’t been much active or the mood I’m always seem to be in but Okay, now let’s get a move on and get to the point.
A year in recap?: During the Christmas break my entire family was struck with a strand of the flu; My mom ended up in the ER unexpectedly a couple weeks ago (she’s gratifyingly doing a lot better now). I will have Class Registration coming up for the next Trimester soon, and I have final projects due in almost every class because of it. I then also have that thing all people get, the wonderful thing called forgetfulness and almost forgot about some tests that were going in as most of my grade but fortunately luck was on my side and I’m passing all my classes.
What have I done?: Besides that all, I have finally began/finished my breeding this season, ending up sparing only a few Hbs. I’ve been so busy with creating a spreadsheet, organizing new herds and cleaning out my barns that I’ve honestly been super overwhelmed.
During the Gift Exchange I had such a generous gifter give me the Mushroom Gene License. I now, just saw today, that I had, in some way, got the DFP2 Gene License. (I don’t spend real money on here so this was quite surprising). I just want to say Thank You to whomever bought it for me! You are awesome and really raised my spirits a ton!
What’s coming up?: I will plan to finish sorting my horses and provide a mass cleanout during the next couple months (I will not be doing any breeding, hopefully I will follow this and start saving up my Hbs for the future seasons).
And now Finally, I wanna say, Thank you to everyone! You all are so fun to login and be around! H&J has such an amazing community! Everyone on here is so special! I appreciate you all, you always give me that extra boost to continue my day! Don’t forget to smile now! :D
Thank You!AmberHaven300 (she/her)

So glad you are doing better! And congrats on getting the new licenses. Mushroom and DFP2 will open up a lot of cool lines for you.
Hopefully once you get sorted the game will be stress relieving instead of stress inducing.
I’ll share some of my happy too. :) It was super warm here today (38 F instead of 5 F). I spent some much needed time with the yearlings we are in the process of halter breaking. Then my husband and I took a little spin bareback around the pasture on some of our old reliables. With a few back to back winter storms and single digit temperatures the last few weeks everyone has been neglected other than getting fed.Ramshorn Ranch

This is why I love this server so much. The community feels closer and more tight-knit than the other servers. Everyone is super kind, and on the whole it just feels more cozy and welcoming.
Even when it comes down to the competitiveness of the leaderboards, I feel the general attitude isn’t about bumping anyone out, it’s about seeing how we can produce the best stock; either by working together with several lines, or by watching as one line flourishes.
