Leaderboard question

If you alter a horse, will it still be competitive on the leaderboards, or will it be bumped off?

I have had altered foundations that still place. They were tested though.

Gelding a stallion will remove it from the Futurity Leaderboards.
I believe gelding/spaying will still leave them eligible for the top producing boards. This pair are now a gelding and spayed mare but currently are holding the #1 spots in Era 5.
