So, I am scouring the sales boards these days, like most other people, and I see alot of crazy prices. I want to remind people that this server is brand new. People dont have that kind of money, and if they do, they have other things to spend them on than buying newly created foundations that were sent out to everyone. I was offered a DATB for my giftee, and didnt want to under-/oversell it, so I went through to check what they had sold for (as I knew I could not afford the ones that are up on the sales board).

- There are 13 DATBs up for sale right now. 1 is 40K, 2 are 50K, 1 is 75K, 2 is 100K, 1 is 150K, 1 is 200K and 5 are 250K(!)

- There have been sold 4 DATBs in the game (excepting one that was gifted), and they have sold for 5K (two of them), 50K and 75K. The last two are most likely someone who was either desperate to get them or that exact horse was absolutely perfect for them (or they have alot of RL cash they can use).

These prices are not just not realistic at this time in the game.

Just throwing my personal two cents in. I think my DATB is up for 250k. It’s not so much because that’s what I think it’s worth; it’s more that I wouldn’t be sad if it didn’t sell, and that’s how much I’d need to be okay with parting with it.

I have played on the forest server, but it wasn’t for long and it was years ago, so I actually have no idea what anything /should/ sell for. I just try to price at what I would be okay with getting, keeping in mind what’s already on the sales board.

I know I am guilty of this. I had a few of the special RS up for more than they are currently worth. I was slowly bringing the prices down to see if i had any interest as not in a rush to sell

I'm with anothertangent - I know I've got my Strawberry Moon up for 100k (not the highest price for that HH, but definitely a high price for a new server). If she doesn't sell at that price this month, I'll almost certainly keep her unless someone specifically tries to buy her down the road. Sometimes the number has to be high enough to outweigh the hoarder in me. :)

Speculative pricing is why we have the end of the month sales clearing though as it can be really frustrating for people actually looking for ones to buy.

It is a brand new server and a brand new herd helper so I'm not at all surprised by the prices being all over the place. The same thing happened with both the Bronze Age and Diamond Age and eventually they levelled out once the excitement died down. I actually bought one of those DATB for 5k that was hom DP and I felt was severely underpriced so I relisted it for more. No shame, it's all just supply and demand. I believe there's another hom DP out there listed for even more than any of the DATB.

I am constantly adjusting my prices and watching the market and I did drop my price just recently but still don't feel like it's unreasonable, just experimental and having fun testing out the market on a new server!
