I have bought a few from the auction with my other account.

Horses do not enter the auction without someone actively entering them in the auction. By far the most likely answer is that you entered them on accident or don't remember but I can look into any horse a link is posted to.

ETA: I just double-checked the code and there is a security feature implemented where ONLY the person who owns the horse at the moment it is entered can enter it. I know exactly how the code works and even I could not force enter someone else's horses. This is true for regular and bulk entering. There is no way a person who is not the owner of a horse entered them in the auction. Looks like this was an accidental entry.

I find it highly unlikely someone was trying to steal your horses particularly as that player has sold off all their horses. And all the horses were put in the auction for a fair sale price. Also, the seller of these horses liquidated all their stock so there are several hundred that have been auctioned and only horses sold to you ended up back in the auction. I don't see how or why any of this would be bad behavior by the original seller.

I didn't think that player was trying to steal my horses, I was wondering if it could have been a glitch in the system? Because I know i never put any horses in the auction as i went to bed as soon as I bought these horses.
I an not accusing anyone here. I just would like to know how this was possible as they were the last horses i purchased.

I want to be clear that 100% believe you that you have no idea how those horses ended up in the auction. You were for sure paid for them though so at least there is that. I can't tell you the exact way they ended up in the auction though. I have records for a lot of things that happen on the site but not every click that every user makes. All we can do is watch and make sure more similar issues don't pop up.

How did you come to own these horses? Like where/how did you buy them in the first place?

I bought these horses on the search pages of for sale horses. I bought 5 or 6 from the same person. But it was funny that the last few high pointed horses were put up into the auction, They went back to the breeder as you can see and she put them into the auction.
I tried to go to the take out of auction but I didn't see that they were even for auction on the horses page. That is why I used my other account.
I have learned my lesson to check each night before logging off and in the morning to make sure nothing happens again.

I am sorry , I see where you are correct and i did get paid. I feel bad that i made such a commotion over that. I was just so upset when i saw them in the auction. I know it is just a game.lol

Also "you entering" in this case means your account. Could be from forgetting, sleepwalking, or kids messing with a tablet and doing it on accident. I have seen everything. Things happen all the time where we don't know exactly what happened. Just the nature of it. There are so many possibilities that sometimes there is no satisfying answer.

When you put a horse in the auction and set the starting bid it enters you as the bidder. If you had the horse up for sale and auction at the same time you would have bid on the horse by default. If no one else bid then the horse would have sold back to you, even if somehow it got sold to someone else in the interim.

And you are right it is not supposed to let you do that but one of you entered the horse in the auction for sure. It's just unclear what happened at this point. Either you put the horse up for sale and auction at the same time and it sold back to you (no one noticing it was for auction), or she put the horse up for auction and you bid on it. I don't know which is the case.

The horse was from the same breeder as the rest that i didn't put in the auction. I know it isn't anything to do with them, but why is the game doing this? I should have shared this with it being in the auction, but I was to surprised at it and didn't want it bought up again.

Also when you found the horse in the auction did you see who the starting bidder was? That could have told us who entered the horse.

Screenshots would help immensely. I am really limited in my ability to help here because I am being given so little information about what is going on. I keep asking for more info, links to horses, etc and not getting it which makes it very difficult to help.

OK I was able to get in there and so some testing now that I have some more information

Here is what happened SwedishFish entered the horses in the auction. She then put them up for sale. That removed the for auction tag from the horses so they did not look like they where for auction but it never removed the horse from the auction. You bought the horses but they where still in the auction even though you purchased them. The horses then sold at auction normaly.

Go to this page and look at the Manage Your Entries section

If you have any horses listed you can remove them there. If you have none listed you have none for auction. I tested this and confirmed that it is correct. You tried to remove it from the horse's page before which will not work in this case because the horse does not have an auction flag. You have to do it from the manage your entries section in the auction house.

Possibly. I will remove the horse just to be safe. I have been swamped with GE/December stuff and have not been able to get to this yet.

Here's one that shows for sale, but when I click she's in auction, well above sale price, and I don't have the option to buy, only bid. Just sharing as another example :D
