Question about boosting and maxing

    Hello all, if I want to boost and max a horse… what order is the proper way to do it? Want to make sure I don’t do it the wrong way the first time. Thank you!

    I believe it’s Max ability first and then boost.

    Max will take you to the highest ability the parents can possibly produce. Then the boost should bump you up even higher.

    This breakdown might help you:

    Parents make a foal. It could have an ability of 20 to 45 when it is born. Your hypothetical foal is born at 32.

    Boosting adds 5. Maxing makes them the maximum possible.

    You boost first: 32+ 5 = 37 then you max, foal is now 45

    You max first: Maxing makes the foal 45 then you boost 45 + 5 = 50

    You always want to boost from the best possible starting point possible and maxing gives you the best possible start.
