What do you think needs tweaking?

Also is this something that makes you excited for the AT? Is this the BC you hoped for if you voted for them? Thanks!

  • On the foal the back legs look like they are a little too far underneath him. Almost like he's about to lean backwards into a sit.

I am not super familiar with the AT, or a light boned breeder. So it's hard for me to comment on your other questions. I do think that it looks recognizable as an Akhal Teke, to me.

  • Ooo, I like this one. The pasterns (?) on the foal look a little weird to me. Kinda flat I guess? One thing, tails. Not sure if you're gonna add them but they look weird without tails lol :))

I think it's pretty recognizable as an AT, but the adult could have a more arched neck. Personal preference, but they're pixels on a screen lol.

  • Nope, the breed famously has no tails or eyes and will be released with out them. ;) :D

  • Ah, right. Can't believe I totally forgot that. Hope the ponies get lots of fly spray!

  • I do think the foal should be standing a bit more square. Love the head.
  • Wow I like it nice job, I think the stands are great and the heads are beautiful. I will be broke all the time lol. Is this going to be for the light bone horse? I do not remember.

  • This is just my perspective- I always look at the foal line art first then scroll to the adult line art while envisioning if this foal could reasonably grow into the adult line work conformation-wise. I make no assumptions and I think the intent is to produce line art that creates a smooth transition from foal to adult (and I see it already in the way the legs are positioned to mirror each other) and this is well on its way!

Ironically this time I am looking at the adult horse first and liking it a lot but having a hard time seeing how the foal would grow into that outline if that makes sense. The adult is unmistakably of desert origin and bred to be tough yet with an elegance that evokes the AT. The foal almost seems more saddlebred in its headset and the way the neck blends into the withers and shoulders. I would maybe suggest echoing the adult head/neckline and maybe even the way the head poses but more foal like if that makes sense.

Others have pointed out the back legs of the foal and I agree- it is a little camped under and I would suggest using the lines/angles of the adult's hind legs to help the cohesion.

Thank you for your hard work (and Jenx's as well)!
