  • These are pretty dang good! I'm so excited to get this BC art!

The only two things I see is on the adults top lip, the bottom part that meets the bottom lip looks a little pointed, rather than soft and round. And the nostril is off

  • I don't like how far forward the right rear hind leg is on the foal. The foal also looks to be standing slightly downhill to me, like I want to rotate the whole body slightly counterclockwise to make him look more level.

I am not confident on this, but I also could see the shoulder to look a little weak and small in proportion compared to the hindquarters on the adult horse.

  • The foal his level, we measured, but I do think that nearside rear foot is a bit high.

  • I think the reason why the foal looks like its tilting forward is because the (I don't know what they're called) joints (like the knee part on the front legs and the ankles on the back legs?) aren’t level. The back leg joints are much higher than the front legs (if you compare to the adult) making the foal look like its leaning forward when it’s not. I don’t know how its actually supposed to be, but when I draw horses I always make those joints mostly level with each other. Also, the front hooves don’t look flat to the ground. The back hooves are flat but the front ones are tilting forward diagonally, making the hooves not level.
On the adult, the tail is behind both the near and far back leg and its bothering me. Other than those, these look absolutely stunning.

  • They are perfecto, nice work :). The only thing I see is the foal, is there a way to bring foal's front legs up just a tad bit or make the knees and hocks level with each other? The adult is beautiful, I don't see any thing to tweak on the adult. Beautiful job on the art. The legs on the foal look good except for the hocks not being on the same plan as the knees on the front legs, I think it you fix the knees and hocks the foal will look level like the adult.
