-
What’s your favorite breed of horse? Like in real life :)

From childhood I’ve adored Arabians and that’s probably my fantasy horse, but I don’t know about the upkeep with a fiery horse like that! I’ve ridden mostly quarter horses so they hold a special place in my heart. I love the look of Fresians and Gypsy Vanners too.

As a Brit I'm partial to all our native pony breeds (apart from Shetlands who are, in my opinion, nasty bad-tempered creatures!). My absolute favourite would have to be the Exmoor pony which is an ancient breed with 'primitive' markings. They live wild on Exmoor and I have seen them there. :)HAJ1 White Valley #60847 HAJ3 minimum #175

Quarter Horses and Miniature horses are among my favorites But the Appaloosa I guess would be the one I always look to first since my childhood lolBlue Grass id#: 182429

I have a very diverse liking of breeds. My favorites are thoroughbreds, Morgan’s, and mustangs. Though one of my favorite crosses I’ve ever come across was a TB/Friesian or Andalusian cross! I’ve seen some AMAZING Morgan/Friesian crosses as well!

Arabians by far. Grew up riding and showing them, they will always have a special place in my heart.

The love of my childhood are appaloosa. I get lost in all of their spots. I also love grey Andalusian dressage horses. They are just drop dead gorgeous. My final love are the wild horses. I follow several Facebook pages, such as The Wild Horses of Sand Wash Basin, and their famous mustang stallion, Picasso. They are so beautiful when they are wild and free.Forest Server - Chapel Hill Farm. ID# 54714 (Basic account)

Chapel, I also follow the Wild Horses of Sand Wash Basin on Facebook. They get some good shots of those bands. I also follow a bunch of wild horse photographers/videographers on instagram, as well as a a lot of rodeo contractors or rodeo photographers/videographers. I love a good slow mo video of a bucking horse.
In real life Quarter Horses have my heart. You can't help but run into them everywhere in Northern Utah where I grew up and in Wyoming where I live now. Although there is a lot of demand around here for quarter horse draft crosses as well. They are usually Percheron blood on the draft side. I don't mind a good drafty type horse with some heft to them. Except I'm short so they need to be 15.5 hands or under!Ramshorn Ranch

Thoroughbreds!
I fell in love with them when I started volunteering at a rescue for off the track racehorses after high school. -
I would say the Andalusian is my favorite breed, however I've only been able to love them "from afar" as I've never owned them or trained them.
Appaloosas have my heart because of their personalities. I was given an appy because the owners didn't know how to train her. And I fell in love! I've owned five and each one stole my heart all over. Before I was given an appy I had no care in the world for them.
My grandfather taught me to ride on a untrained quarter horse filly, she was 3 and I was 18months lol She tolerated me (of course i was very light) but she sure bucked my grandfather every time he got on her. I learned a lot about horses from her and him. And the horse my parents got me for my sweet 17 was a quarter horse and I had him until I had to put him down. So naturally I love Quarter Horses. I've owned quit a few.
Mustangs also have my heart. I've worked with and trained a few mustangs and I look forward to having mustangs, some day.

100% forever and always the Appaloosa. My heart horse, the first horse I ever fell in love with and currently the first and only horse I own personally, is an Appaloosa. She is my heart and soul and the best mare ever. You can see her in my profile picture :x Her name is Angel. My boyfriend loves Arabians because thats what his grandma had while he was little (all three are still kicking it at 29+ years old).Bluegrass Server: HayesStable - 221755

One breed that I am very drawn to and would love to own someday is a Lustiano. They are stunning and athletic and I would love to be able to ride one.Bluegrass Server: HayesStable - 221755
