Same boat. I'm also not sure if I messed up creating my breed or if it randomly reset, but I didn't know the restrictions were lifted (if there was an announcement I didn't see it,) which is why I reported mine as a bug.

I also can't change the rules because there are living horses, with descendants, and ones I've sold or gifted. I wanted mine to be heavy boned like my other breeds.

It's not Ammit's fault of course, but it is frustrating and it would be nice if we got a "pardon" this month, to change the breed rules even with horses in game.

I'm not sure if that's even possible, code-wise, but we want to add rules, and I'm sure there are people who made breeds with a bone weight before it was optional and would want to be in this position with no restrictions on their breed, and also won't be able to change it. I'm not sure what the fix would be. I don't think we can delete breeds, but I'm not positive.

Maybe they can add a way to 'archive' or 'deactivate' a breed, so it's still in game and is attached to horses but won't show up on your create a horse drop down?

I'm not really sure what the solution would be..

I created a new breed because I set rules to my first breed and couldn't change it for the same reasons.

I would like there to be an option to turn "create a breed" on and off. Most of my breeds are fantasy gene related, and it'd be nice to shorten the list when creating.

Do you actually want to delete the breed or do you just care about not having it on the create a horse page?

I knew when I created it that the drop-down list was going to be temporary and not work amazingly. It is already in the plans to change it but I really have to get the new breed characteristics out before I can work on that.

We are in a kind of frustrated stuck state over here trying to get this project done with major interruptions causing problems.

A toggle for whether the breed is creatable or not is a fair stopgap that should not be too hard to implement even with me having really poor working conditions right now.

Just wanted to say I appreciate you reading the forums, and listening to feedback even when you're so busy. I hope that whatever is going on right now gets easier for you soon! We can be patient, take care of yourself. :x

And for me personally, if I can't change the breed rules I would like to take it off the create a horse drop-down, but keep it active and useable. Mainly because that breed is for horses with Rose and Watercolor, and so like most of my breeds that are fantasy, I don't ever create them from that page. It's really for breeding them, and the long list is hard to scroll through. But I wouldn't want to delete our deactivate mine.

Some breed updates this morning. Along with new creates you can now toggle off new registration and new inheritance of your breeds. That means you can decide if the breed shows up on the change breed list, and if foals will inherit the breed name. I also changed it so you can change the breed rules as long as there are no living members of the breed. Archived horses no longer count.

I added this today so you now can eventually reclaim breeds you want to edit the rules on.
