Twin?
-
Does the game name a foal twin, if it's a twin? Or did I just pick a weird name? Is there a way to keep track of twins?

It does, as far as I know, name the second foal the same name as the first but with TWIN at the end. When I had it happen, it did that for me. I renamed it to Twin 2 and added Twin 1 to the original. I don't think there's a way to keep track of them, apart from names and custom tattoos.
I'm glad I got twins very recently, so I knew what you were talking about. Technically that was my second time getting twins. It happened for me one time prior... but they both perished from lethal white factor. :)) Don't tell Summer I'm still bad at punnett squares! lmaooo It was very funny finding out the game had twins, (I had absolutely no idea,) only for them to both die. I was so excited.. for about 3 seconds, haha! What luck
Congrats on your (living) twins! :o) -
I laughed so hard.

Oh noooo lol that's so disappointing. I'm good at punnett squares, but terrible at remembering which genes are dangerous... I also tend to throw random horses in pasture, and then act surprised when I loose a foal :-/
Here's twin one, with the same name and birthday. They'll be joining my show herd!

Where's twin 2? Lol

Waly, oh jeez. I’ve always kinda had a hunch that there was twins in the game, I have just never gotten lucky enough to get any. And oh my, do I just throw random horses into pasture too. It’s hard for me when one of my great mares looses a foal but then I keep in mind the stud so I don’t breed with him again with the same mare. Those two foals are so.. idk unique different, how can they be twins?! :)AmberHaven300 (she/her)

Aw, congratulations! I’m so glad my boy gave you something so exciting!

I can confirm the game does add Twin to the second foal’s name when twins are born. I have had a set born.
Twins in real life don’t have to be 100% genetically identical. It depends on how the twins came to be.
If one embryo splits into two embryos early in development the twins are genetically identical
If the female happened to ovulate two embryos at the same time fertilized by two different sperm you would have two genetically unique twins.Ramshorn Ranch

I appreciate your fantastic straws, Bluemesa! It was definitely a fun surprise.
Ram, I love genetics! So fun and fascinating. -
Ive never gotten twins either, oh well I still have hope :)

I also love genetics! It was one of my favorite subjects in school and still something I like to read about if I run across more knowledge. :)Ramshorn Ranch

I, too, love genetics!! I just got twins a week ago and had no idea until I just read there was such a thing in the game. So cool! I thought I just had named it that way. Thanks for the update! ;)
