Short answer: it’s a cool factor and keep the ones with the most points.

Long answer: we collect points to get hbs to buy cool things. Therefore we all want horses with high points because they give us lots of hbs per day and we like hbs cause they let us do things.

I highly recommend you don’t sell anything over 1000. I also highly recommend you list your horses for sale at their lifetime point value for three days. If they don’t sell, then go to half lifetime points. Don’t price anything with plus 400 point under 30k.

Okay, so I have a horse, she's a Buckskin Roan Dun Splash she's spayed and has a PI grade of 4.10, but a 20.5k payout and 480 points. Right now she's up for 2700. What's the right price?

And the other is a Bay Tobiano Appy gelding. He has a PI grade of 6.3 and a 29.5k payout. He's got 480 points. What's his price?

I’d price those at least for 30000

I just checked and those horses are in auction so you should be fine there.

You can’t bid on your own horses. I wouldn’t stress about the ones in auction. There’s usually enough interest to get what they’re worth at that point level.

Consider how annoying it will be to have $200 less a day, leading to $1400 less a week. The reason the new players get these horses - which we covet - is to help you get to a high payout, fast.

Now that we’ve thought those thoughts, you should consider how fast you want the horse sold. If I was going to sell this horse, which I would not, I would put it in the auction for three or four days with a starting bid of 70k or so (lifetime payout.) if I wanted to sell it fast, I’d put it up for 50k and tell us it exists. If I was willing to wait, I’d put it up for 100k and wait for someone like DevilsCash to swing by and snag it.

The best horses to put points on is anything with the word perfect in the name, ideally exceptionally perfect, or a rank special. That ensures you a 10.4 consistent horse (or 9.9 consistent if they are just perfect.)

Two very important notes. (1) Do you see the list of those upcoming horses at the bottom of the create a horse page? We’ll pay a lot for a pointed one of those. (2) Next month, we’ll get to randomly create sea ponies. The minimum you should sell one for is 125k, because that is what you can turn them in for (value-wise.) In October (same thing but candy ponies) they were selling for 250k.

If you get a high scoring special create who is also a sea pony, someone will give you many, many horsebucks for it.

Also make sure you sign up for the gift exchange.

Sea Ponies occur in June and July when a witch curses/blesses your horse with magic. She picks randomly, about 1 horse out of 100. When you remove the magic (a GMT!!!) the horse becomes normal again.

The game mechanic is that you’ll make a horse like normal but it comes out like a sea pony. You click a link in the horse’s main page and you can get the GMT.

The “big barns” will be cycling through 200 horses a day to try and make sea ponies, so watch the rescue for great things to pop up. (User 13.)
