Cream, Pearl, Sun help

    In the GMT lab it says

    "The Cr allele of the cream gene makes palominos, buckskins and smoky blacks. Two Cr copies makes cremellos, perlinos and smoky creams. Pearl (Prl), Sunshine(Sun) and Snowdrop(Sno) are all functionally identical, recessive alleles, and create the pearl phenotype."

    Which basically means they all work the same, right?

    If they all work the same, then why is one copy of Cr turning a bay into a buckskin, but one copy of Sun is not?

    Cream is dominant and will show when one copy is present. Prl, Sun and Sno are recessive and require two copies to show.

    Cream combined with pearl, sun or sno will result in pearl. So will two copies of pearl, sun or sno in any combination.

    On dark coats a single copy of pearl, sun, or sno creates a dilution effect similar to nd1.

    I think it means Pearl, Sunshine, and Snowdrop are all the same as each other, not all the same as Cream.
