My first brindle foal!
  • Just really excited about this boy. Brindle and superior to sire! He's not usually what I breed for and was the result of me just breeding off random non-pasture mares, so I am very happy with the result! Does anyone know the vague odds of breeding brindle?

  • I specialize in breeding chimeras, out of just under 400 pairings of chimera parents I usually get about 4-5 a year. I was working on a spreadsheet to get a better idea of odds and what conditions need to be met, but I realized I really needed more info from more people to make head way. But I'll link it so you can see what I had done before I stopped.

“But I don’t want to go among mad people,” Alice remarked.
“Oh, you can’t help that,” said the Cat: “we’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad.”
“How do you know I’m mad?” said Alice.
“You must be,” said the Cat, “or you wouldn’t have come here.” -Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Chapter 6

  • Congrats! He's a cutie! :)

I also breed for chimeras, and have a spreadsheet! @Vorpalalice high five fellow spreadsheet nerd! ;) Yours is fancier though.

I've got one stud that has given me 5 chimeras, and a couple of mares that have given me 2 each. It's interesting to track.

Also I max them out when I get them, and last round got a 3rd Gen STAR papered colt, which I didn't know was possible (even being maxed out). Thrilled!

  • I know that a lot of my chimeras I got was from my old stud Albert's Soul and I also got them from Liberation. One of his genes was 0% and 100% for the other. So it was a 50/50 which one you would get. And when I had a foal end up with the 100% gene it was a chimer. From what I could see. I know my stallions definitely threw out way more chimeras than my mares.
