Trick or Treat (HAJ: Book 1)
  • (I'm sorry but I had too, I have the same book in works on Forest and another game with the same title, I couldn't resist with the title.. It's literally what kid's say "Trick or Treat!", also it's a different book but with the same protag character but different characters.. Also it's a reference to the Trick or Treat Tarma put up..)

    ------------------------------------------------

As the leaves twist, turn and jerk in the swaying, cold, wind, a horse herd was grazing in a nearby meadow that was surrounded by forest, then as neighing could be heard coming from the forest.. Grinding and creaking of bones could be heard coming to the meadow.. One by one, horses looked towards the forest..

When the creature stopped at the forest's edge, the gleaming light casting into the shadows stopped and only stopped at the edge, one by one, horses were getting nervous in the herd..

As a dismayed sigh of groaning came out of the horses throat, the stallion stepped up in front of his herd to protect the mares, the horse in the shadows could barely be seen..

The eyes silhouette the white pupils being seen, the horses body was no longer there, hence it only had bones as it's body..

The horse was a legend, a legend containing something.. Dark..

As the stallion walked carefully up to the horse, the skeleton horse had boney sounds that sounded friendly, the stallion grew anxious as he kept walking up to the horse..

When the skeletal horse backed up a bit, the horse could visualize that the horse in front was male as seen from his bulkier build on his body, the stallion thought the skeletal horse was mare as she only showed the height to her withers..

The skeletal mare backed up a bit and showed fear as she was backing up, the stallion wondered why she was backing up, maybe it was because of how she looked? Skeletons are creepy after all..
    ------------------------------------------------

But as the stallion entered the dark and gloomy forest, the skeleton mare decided to run but before she could disappear, the stallion went in front of her and stopped her.. The mare was confused..

When the mare calmed down and let the stallion look at her, he was astonished and curious on how she ended up like this, the mare didn't fear him anymore too..

    ------------------------------------------------

But as a nearby town started to get worried, their horses could smell bones aloft and would get anxious from it, then the little children got worried and scared from their parents..

The mayor however, didn't get anxious or scared, he just didn't mind it..

As a librarian pulled out an old fabled book made from some time, the woman skipped all pages until she got to the skeleton's page..

"An old mystery of truth, an undergoing investigation, a cold m******r, and a horse that is cursed for all eternity." the librarian paused for a moment.

"As the old mare passed away as she escaped from death, she was put on a curse since she tried to protect her owner and her owner's family, the old mare was first seen as a mare that came back home after 20 years of being reported "missing". The mare was seen being skinny and protective, no one dares to go near the poor old girl, but as she passed away under a full moon night and had that curse, she was awakened as she fell asleep and woke up to be nothing but bear bones.. The mare looked at her old b**y, and realized she had been forced to walk the earth for all her eternity shall ever be.." the librarian took the book and realized that it was from the 16th century a month before the 17th century where books were more common.

As the librarian was running with her heels tapping the ground as it was wet and chill-nerving, the mayor saw the librarian run to him and saw the old book, he ran to her and picked up the book to read it himself..

"We must keep the people safe, but not the ones that want to mess with the dark forces that the skeleton brings." the mayor said commnadingly, the librarian nodded her head and ran back to her bookstore to prepare.

    ------------------------------------------------

Back in the meadow, the skeletal mare peeked her head out as she befriended the lead stallion, the dark bayed dun with his tobiano barely showing because of the sabino..

The mares in the herd.. Were afraid.. They were scared.. They didn't know.. The forces within.. The ancient evil that roams.. That the skeleton mare is..
