Gene Mod
-
Is there a resource to learn more about how gene modification effects a horse. Can it increase their paper level?
-
Gene mods won't really increase paper levels, but Boost tokens will. Maaayybbee a bump in consistency will help, but that's not a given. We are in the process of working out a system to help folks with the genetics, but for right now feel free to ask any questions here on the forum.

A bump in consistency can impact paper levels and make better foals? Huh. I didn’t expect that— for whatever reason I wasn’t considering consistency to be hereditary.
-
I believe consistency is hereditary. If you mod a horse to be "consistent" their PT score will increase slightly. It will not impact their paper level, but it will make them more likely to throw consistent foals.
The only way to mod a paper level is to use boost tokens! -
If you're interested altering the horse's genes with GMTs, but aren't sure how it'll changes the horse's look, you can use the "Search Horses" feature and filter the genes you're interested in. There's a lot of horses on the server and the odds are you can find one similar enough to what you're looking for. Sometimes you can't find an exact match, but even if you're just curious how two different genes interact, you can find this out this way. Also, sometimes people will post on the forum the horse they want to GMT and ask other players for advice on genes. I feel like I always learn something new from those threads and people are eager to help out/share knowledge.ID:3258
