Is varnishing dominant or recessive?
  • Quick question... does a horse only need one copy of Vrn to varnish?

    Thank you!

  • It's dominate. A het Varnish well Varnish slower than a hom varnish

  • So sort of like the creme gene then? One copy turns a chestnut into a palomino, two turns it cremello. In both, one copy has an effect, two makes the effect stronger.
  • It's part of the leopard complex and can not be separated from it. It has promoters but if you have LP you have varnish.
