Ammit this is (sort of) your fault ;)
  • Ok, so I'm a band mom and a metal head, which means I really didn't have much of a choice here. I mean it was bound to happen eventually with a herd helper called White Wedding.

Does anyone else have a horse with a name that was caused by someone else?
  • I take full responsibility for this but offer no apology.

  • @Tarma, I go to a song Lyrics site to find names for my foals each month. I usually pick artists that I've never heard of and get my inspiration from their song titles and lyrics! I've also used AKC, book titles from Amazon/Kindle, and the names of artwork (mostly paintings)

  • @ConfluenceRanch I'm more an impulsive type namer. Music just happens to be a big part of the family.
I also have a filly that got her name because of a writing prompt response I read on Reddit. The poster ended the story with the beginning lyrics, and I had to hunt down my cassette with the song to get it out of my head.

  • I like the impulsive method, too, but I'm naming @200 foals a month! #:-S
