Ouch the snip snip fairy was not kind

out of 50 foals (1 pasture), only 6 foals made the cut through the strict breeding advice gauntlet and were superior to dam/sire with better papers.
Sheesh I knew the odds of a high pass rate of foals were low AND it only benefits my mushroom herd's breeding quality in the long run but dang 6 of 50 foals.
How has everyone's breeding seasons gone as we wrap up and get ready for December? Any triumphs or woes?TheBlueMoors ID 78

I had a lot of stallions this season. Luckily my amount of snipped horses was pretty low. Which I'm happy with. Usually I have about an even amount gelded and spayed with the stallions and mares. But this season my group was I wanna say probably 70% stallions and then slightly less spayed and gelded than mares. Which means a lot of selling next rollover. I'm gonna hold maybe a couple back as I do have some stallions aging out, but I'm definitely selling more than i usually do this season. As for my lines, i did get quite a few good horses that can be held back for continuation of my lines. And definitely some triumphs.

Heck when I started trying for 5th generation horses, I went my first month with NO horses passing SBA and they were AI babies with multiple embryos pulled from dam. Sometimes it goes like that lol! Since then I've noticed maybe a 10-20% pass SBA overall in higher generations. It makes things more challenging! I may be a little off on numbers, will have to pay more attention next time!

@Kentucky241, don't you love it when the colt fairy sprinkles her dust liberally?! Congrats on your successes though! It is always exciting when at least a few foals turn out better than you expected!
@StarburstFarms, I KNOW! It is the worst when you have 4 year olds you have been patiently waiting to age up and get pasture bonus and their first breeding season, not a single darn one passes. It is so crushing. AI babies are so expensive too so that is a double ouch :( Fingers crossed for a better outcome next time!TheBlueMoors ID 78

Yes. I've been pleasantly surprised with how my stallion's foals that are hom for blue axiom and hom chinchilla have turned out. They're a beautiful mix of black and blue. I'm sad their father is aging out, but happy to be able to use one of them next rollover. I also recall seeing a couple hom TE1 foals from my TE1 lines. Though the amount of stallions is a bit of a disappointment. I just hope that some give someone else what they need.

This was the first breeding season I’ve actually bred any horses in three months. So it was nice to do some breedings. I got 17 superior keeper foals out of 77ish foals. Since I haven’t done much on the game in so long I was able to gender swap several colts. Making all 17 of my keepers fillies, which will hopefully make up for some lost time.
This little lady is a good example of my breeding line.
