Advice or group to learn to breed pointed foals?
-
Is there a group or possible mentor to help learn how to breed foals with points or learn how that works? To breed better besides the basics. Because they all have zero points and zero lifetime payout. I'm just wondering

Jessi2, all foals that are bred by you (that is, they have a sire and dam) will be born with no points. As they age, they are entered in shows (either by manually clicking them into shows or automatically if you have a upgraded account) and will collect points which then increases their lifetime payout.
The foals you might be seeing with points already accrued are those that are created by newer players. To help jumpstart cash flow, new players who have a daily income of less than 20,000 are eligible to create horses which will have varying numbers of points. What a lot of people, I included, would do is create a bunch of ponies using some of the herd helpers, auction off the horses who have less than 200pts and horses with 200-300 points, I'd place for sale for ~1/3 to 1/2 of their lifetime payout and horses with over 300points, I'd sell for ~1/2 of their lifetime payout. Once you have a nice nest egg, you can start keeping the horses with a certain number of points (my cut off was no less than 300pts) to start your show herds, keep selling the horses with 200-299points, and keep going until you reach the 20000 daily income cut off.
Hopefully this is helpful and others will chime in, I am sure!

As far as I understand it, foal's PT doesn't affect their showing either. I believe is a 50% chance for how they'll do at shows until they're 2 y/o.ID:3258
